Before we start with all the homosexual comments, I got your attention and that's all that matters.
Alright, since Feburary's Toy Fair many of us "hardcore" Joe collectors were talking smack about the new movieline we're getting for now. We heard it all from "death to the line" to "I won't be caught dead with the ROC toylilne." Well, from all the buzz on the forums today many of us bought something today from the new Joe toyline. So what do you think if it so far? I only found three figures that I actually wanted. I got Sgt.Stone, Shipwreck & Cover Girl, and I'm quite happy with them. As much as I would like to support Hasbro with the ROC toyline, there are things I don't like and will not get mainly Cobra Troopers and the vehicles. I did get the Steel Crusher yesterday but that $24.99 hurt. So let's hear it what do you think about the new G.I. Joe?

Better than Valor vs Venom, not as good as 25th/Modern Era. I'm optimistic.

I don't know, too early to tell. I bought a Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow, and they look nice. Most of the figures I saw today were very nice, and the Neo Vipers are definitely looking kind of good (apparently not all the waves were released in Canada, mind you).
The price point in Canada is ridiculous, though. I wanted the Armored Panther just so I could have a camo Armadillo and (to a lesser extent) Thunder, but TRU wanted 25 bones for that!!! Night Raven at Walmart is $50 CDN as well. Ridiculous...

When you say I would like to support, do you not realize that buying just one figure supports this line. If you don't realize that, how can you not? I for one think that all the movie / toy haters are going to buy the crap out of these figures and thus reinforcing Hasbro and their decision to go with this new line as their flagship figures. Now don't get me wrong - I have never said I would not buy these figures - therefore I don't feel silly now buying everything I see. I know all the naysayers are eating Crow right about now....lol. I am indifferent to the movie (cause I have not seen it yet) but I really like the direction the figures took. They look more (if i dare say so) realistic to me. So now I can display, my comic version of Duke, next to the cartoon next to the Resolute next to the movie version. Its a nice display of evolution for the character. I could not be any more happier. Off to light up some fireworks........ I am sure I will have to respond to a flame or two later.... |

I've liked them since the beginning. but what I didn't like seeing today was the outrageous vehicle prices. $17 for the small ones, $25 for the mid ones? way overpriced.
