I'm going on a retail tour with my boss to scope out entertainment brands and I know I'll find the figures I'm looking for but won't be able to bring myself to buy them in front of him. that's worse than not finding them at all.

Yes this bites. I went to a training with a co-worker once and ditched him for lunch one day so I could secretly by the Resolute 5 Pack at TRU. I ended up telling him what I did, but refused to take him with me and get it. I have gotten a little better about sharing my Joe Fetish with people. I usually find no one gives a rip and some even have their own little collections. CONGRATS ON THE FIND! I still have not seen that wave. I did find the Pit Commando wave yesterday though and know exactly that feeling you are talking about. Mine was spotting the Red Neo Viper from the other end of the store and feeling that hope rise within me and then being fulfilled by finding the figs I wanted. I laid all 10 of them out on the shelf and got it down to 6 for purchase.

Gunslinger, that would be a cruel twist of fate. I used to lie and say they were a gift "for my nephew" and people would give me that "yeah, right" look but now I say it proudly. "I collect GI Joes, DAMNIT!!!!" lol

When buying something a couple weeks ago (movie TFs) I got into a conversation with a TRU employee about trying to find the certain ones her son wanted. She asked me how old the child was I was buying for...I said 31.

I hit a Target last night right before they closed and grabbed 2 Hawks, 2 Helix, 2 Flash, 2 Pit Commandos, 2 Crimson Vipers and an Elite Viper - I was pretty stoked! If anyone needs any of these, PM me.
