I was thinking about cobra vehicles. I loved the ASP and the high speed sentry.
Would it be cool to have a hybrid Asp/hiss? I figure the rear of the hiss could be redesigned to have a telescoping asp pod. Any other ideas of how an asp/ hiss hybrid could be designed? Heck any hybrid thoughts out there? We can get our MASK thoughts on! |

I was working on one a few years back, but never finished... I used this as the base... it kinda looks like an ASP.

I've often wondered about the feasibility of producing modular HISS turrets or weapons that could be drop-in and drop-out. You could have a HISS with a 125mm, a HISS with anti-air missiles, etc etc.

A lot of the real world military vehicles serve as platforms for a variety of different applications. It would only make sense that something like the HISS would be available in several different configurations to disperse a larger range of artillery. An ASP-ish dual 120mm cannon setup would be an upgrade from the stock twin 90mm cannons. But you could also have some quad cannons, miniguns, ground-to-air missiles or any other type of experimental weaponry developed by MARS. As for a practical application for a real world custom, it could be done with enough patience and creativity, but I think the ASP main body would be a bit large on the original HISS. Maybe one of the later versions would serve that purpose a little better.
Another cool innovation could be integrating something like a Trubble Bubble Flight Pod into place where the turret would normally be; one vehicle could become two - a feature several vehicles utilized throughout the line.
