People who don't pay & Ebay slow process to make them.
How fast is it to make a paypal payment? According to Ebay I got give them at least a week before I can start a dispute. Then I got a wait a week for them to respond before Ebay gives me a credit. This means 2 weeks of either my item or money in limbo. |

as has been said, sellers who do not charge actual shipping fees (plus a reasonable packaging fee). i bought 3 items from a guy who charged $7 shipping on each and refused to combine shipping. i sent him the $21 for shipping plus the item cost, but told him that i would expect a refund if the shipping cost was considerably lower. I received the package and the items cost him less than $9 to ship total, but he refused to refund the diffence (i asked for $9 back, as i felt a total of $12 for shipping and packaging was acceptable, although probably still high). ended up starting (and winning) a dispute.

This drives me nuts! If you search for Resolute figures on eBay you end up with tons of other non-Resolute crap. These sellers are spammers and they are wasting both my and their time. I wont buy from them.

Ebay really has us by the balls. Unfortunately where else you gonna go to track down a vintage Breaker backpack or MOBAT machine gun? It sucks. I really, really (did I emphasize REALLY) miss the old mom and pop collector/comic shops that were everywhere back in the good ol' days before Ebay forced them all out of business.
be it payment, feedback, or shipment... they're all "yeah give the dude 30 days." AND WHILE WE ARE F*&%^$KKIN ON IT... PAYPAL HOLDING FUNDS FOR 3 DAYS WHILE THE ITEM SITS ON SOMEONE'S SHELF HAVING RECEIVED IT... IS STUPID. They have the thing... itz been delivered... give. me. my. money. and to all you people out there who bought something expensive from me and decided to leave feedback after those three days... EAT MY PAJAMA CRUST. leave gorram feedback so i can have what's owed to me BEFORE pay pal clears it. the money is already gone. just leave feedback.

That is incorrect. It does cost more to ship to Canada on larger, heavier items. I was going to ship some magazines to a fellow tanker that had some painting tips in them. I only wanted him to reimburse me for the shipping cost. Til we found out it would have been almost $12.00!!!! It seems once you get to a certain weight everything is at priority rates.
I was mainly referring to smaller items. Such as a few Gi Joes or a small transformer. People often have the shipping listed as $5, but as soon as you mention you are from Canada, the shipping suddenly is increase to like $12... there is no reason for this... shipping small items cost no difference. I actually have the perfect example. I recently won an auction for a 1986 Transformer Catalog. won it for $2, shipping was listed at $1.49. Contacted the guy, was working out the deal, he realize I was from Canada, and for some reason wanted $9.95 for shipping. Told him no, to either accept the 3.50 or refund my money, he refunded my money. WTF? so he would rather keep his product instead of sending it out for the price listed in the auction. Guy could have sent in an envelop with a 50 cent stamp. What a scammer!

Sellers who overcharge for shipping, or won't combine shipping but use one box anyway. I really hate it when I get charged $10 for shipping, then it comes in the mail and I can see it cost them $5 to ship it to me, and they ship it in a previously used box. Really? A used box and a bit of bubble wrap cost you $5? Don't piss in my face and tell me it's raining.
I also hate it when someone with no feedback ups the price of the item by bidding last second. I get the feeling it's a shell account and the seller is just upping the bid price. I don't have proof, of course, cause it could genuinely be a new buyer trying to bid, but something still feels rotton in Denmark. |

Then there's the customs form that you have to stand in line at the post office for... which wouldn't be bad if my post office wasn't 10 miles away and has two counter operators. But, I digress... I'll do it for a Tanker. But not eBay. My biggest pet peeve as a seller is not being able to leave buyers negative feedback. That right there is CRAP. Sometimes a transaction is just bad. |

Absolutely everything that's been stated so far, and I'll add one thing. In what bizarro, evil alternate universe does it cost $12 to ship one loose figure 2 counties over in the same state? I know this is "handling costs," it just makes me mad that this stays completely unregulated.
