Say you offer for a single loose fig: 1st class: $2.50 Priority: $5 International by weight (lets pretend its $8, though it would likely be cheaper for 1 fig) If you ship intl, you get charged the % on the $2.50. If you ship via either US option, you get charged a % of whichever option you picked. |

One person took two weeks to pay for a $1 item. One person, after the auction was over, wanted to cancel their bid on an item they won....for 1 cent. They won a minifigure for ONE CENT, and wanted to cancel the auction because the shipping was $2. Another person never payed for a $1 item. I also sold a laptop 2 weeks ago, because I needed the money because I was buying a car from a co-worker, and really needed that extra cash. I was hoping the person would pay right away. Long story short, I still haven't been payed. I sent a polite message to the person like, five days after the auction ended and got no response, and I was planning on relisting the item today at noon, and oddly, about an hour before that, I get an email from some person claiming that the person who won the auction was their employer and was having medical issues, and that I would have to wait longer because he didn't have access to paypal. I don't really know what to do in this situation. I understand real-life emergencies come up, but another person left feedback a week before this person won my laptop auction (positive, unfortunately since hey! Buyers can't ever get negative feedback!) that they were never paid for an item either.

To be fair, they only take a percentage of the lowest US shipping if you ship internationally.

That is so true. I only bid what i am willing to pay. If some one else wants the item that badly they can have it. I figure i do not need to buy at a price i do not want to buy at. So let the seller play games, I do not care. They are the ones loosing out on a sale. And let the buyers play games, I can wait to buy the item at a better price.

My peeve = Regardless if they're a buyer or seller, people who can't "remember" to leave feedback annoy me.
eBay is built around feedback. As a buyer, I shouldn't have to wait for a seller to leave me feedback. My end of the transaction is complete when I've paid for my item. Sure, some can say that it's when I receive the item...but why should I have to give feedback in order to receive it. Same with buyers...I leave feedback for buyers the minute they pay. Yet, receiving it in return is like pulling teeth. For example: 1,790 Feedback left for others 1,608 Feedback received from others That's a difference of 182 "feedback points." |

Watchers that do not do anything. I also watch an item sometimes specially if there are several option I want to track which one goes for less. But common 10 or 20 watchers and none bids not even in the last minutes I really hate that.
Even today I had two auctions running that had several bids in the days before and nothing happen today still I had 10 or 20 watchers. Go figure....

I don't get how people can have different views on when feedback should be left. It's quite simple. When a buyer recieves the item and is happy with the condition, how quickly it was shipped, etc., they should leave positive feedback for the seller. Once, the seller knows the buyer is satisfied the seller can be confident the transaction was smooth and should leave positive feedback for the buyer.
The buyer needs to wait until they recieve the item. How can he judge shipping speed and condition if they haven't recieved the item yet. What if the seller sends a box of junk or fails to ship the item at all. The seller needs to be sure the buyer will not pull any shenanigans. He can only be sure the buyer is OK once the buyer leaves positive feedback. Doing any feedback beforehand is premature. |
