I'm not suprised to see Duke and Hawk in a Leadership pack, but I'd hoped (if we were getting a new figure) to see Flagg. Ah, well. Per'aps I'll try the conversion for Grunt. Anyone got a good suggestion on where to snag some webbing from? |

Senior or Field Officers (Mjr - Col.) and General or Flag Officers (Brigadier through General). (Flag Officers is more of a navy term I guess, sorry.)

Well I'm in the minority and I say you can never have too many Dukes (he's an iconic character and needs to be kept in circulation) Grunt is a little messy but I must admit I like the Hawk in his dress clothes.
It's a neat set and I look foward to having them on my shelf. |

Interestingly, classing them as officers is closer to where the name came from than treating them as NCOs. In the Royal Navy, 200 years ago, a "warrant officer" was a man who held his authority from one of the various boards, rather than from a King's Commission or appointment from a Commissioned Officer. The surgeon, the gunner, the purser were all warrant officers and as such the Captain was limited in his ability to discipline them. |

Once they hit E-6(Staff Sergeant), for what ever reason, they leave the Enlisted ranks and become Officers(Warrant Officers which is W1-W5). The one's I knew who made the switch did it for the better pay. Last edited by slim19722; 01-27-2008 at 03:33 PM.. |

I like the Hawk. Nice more formal version.
I'm glad for Grunt but don't like the 5 o'clock shadow & feel he needs to be a bluer tint like the old toy & cartoon. Duke seems to be in a minty green shirt & lighter pants than the white shirt Jetpack version. It's a-ok, but I think they could have varied this figure just a bit more. You bet I'll be buying it!! |

I just (finally) opened this tonight. I'm a little irked because Grunt's hands fall off even with the lightest touch. I basically had to put the hands on his gun, then insert them back into the arms.
Once I get that Duke/Red Star pack I am so going to use that as my Grunt body.
