Anyone have any trouble with their shoulder armor? I just found the twins tonight, but Tomax's shoulder piece will not stay on.

The only disappointing thing with these figures... the flesh tone of the arms and heads don't make the chest.

I agree about the ugly green guns. Luckily I have aftermarket guns to use. Finally the comic packs have made it to Atlanta, GA

So I'm poking around trying to figure out what the twins' guns are supposed to be, and eventually conclude they're Smith & Wesson M76's. But that's not the news.
The interesting thing is that it seems the real ones are, in fact, green: http://world.guns.ru/smg/smg85-e.htm At least sometimes. I still don't like the shade they've used, but at least now it makes some sense.

I think this gun might match up more with Tomax & Xamot's... http://world.guns.ru/smg/smg32-e.htm It has the same plate at the top where the scope connects, and also that diagonal piece inbetween the trigger and where the ammo cartridge plugs in. Also look an the circular piece where the long nozzel of the gun connects with the body of the gun, that looks similar as well. This gun doesn't have a silencer on it though. Just my oppinion that this gun might be a closer match. Last edited by Scoop; 03-23-2008 at 01:38 AM.. |

I thought about the M3A1 (which you note is also green ).
Points in favour: -The shape of the frame near the reciever -The silhouette on top, due to the dirt cover -The flash suppressor (what you are calling the "silencer" on the toy could very well be a flash suppressor.) -The "plate" at the top is a dirt cover over the ejection port for spent brass. Having that on the same weapon as a scope is inviting having your sights getting knocked out of alignment. -The toy has no depiction of the stock -Overall size and proportion of the M76 is closer to the toy than that of the M3A1. I don't think the toy is an accurate depiction of any real weapon; and I don't think either the M76 or the M3A1 really fits the twins' style anyway. One can make a case for both weapons being what the toy maker intended. I still think it's neat that the real weapons are green. You can just see the sculptor saying - oh, by the bye - this gun is green. Then the bloke who chooses the plastic picks a nice, bright green instead of the dull olive drab the sculptor had in mind.
