From '82-'92, what would you say the best year was for GI Joe figures? Try to give a reason if possible for why it was your favorite year.

I only collected between 82-85, and I would say 83 was my favorite Joe year. Swivel Arm battle grip. Skystriker, Dragonfly and Hiss Tank. Yeah 85-88 were prime years with tons of new stuff each year, but I liked when it was still fresh before the cartoon.

My favorite year was probably 1987. Falcon was my favorite GI Joe ever (even before the annimated movie came out. I just liked Green Berets), The Maggot was one of my all time favorite Cobra vehicles, and me and my brothers got both the Defiant and MCC one Christmas. Good memories. Also, iirc, we got some of the '82 stuff from mail away offers, which was cool.

1985 was the best year. Snake Eyes(v2), Flint, Footloose, Alpine, Quick kick, Airtight, Barbeque, Barzooka, Lady Jaye, Crimson Guard, Eels, ... list goes on and on.
For Vehicles, Moray, Snow cat, of course FLAGG... and more. there was an endless list for '85. IMO '85 was the best year, follow by '84 and '86. |

I personally am also an '85er. My first figure was Snake Eyes and a Cobra (the enemy) in '83 but I was so jellous when my brother started gettin all those great '85 figures. Most of my figures I played with until they were trash but he still has all his old joe's... and I'm still so jellous of his Bazooka, Quick Kick and Alpine. I loved that trio growing up.
