The only problem I see is that the 25th line doesn't have a standard among the figures. Diaper crotches, open/closed hands, no 90 degrees for arms. The best thing about the original line was the standard. You could buy any figure, and you just knew it would fit in any vehicle. And if you had an exception, it was an "exception", not a different standard. Before GIJoe I was playing with Playmobil, and the concept was exactly the same, any figure with any accessory on any vehicle. Only GIJoe was MUCH cooler. The 25th line is rather disappointing in this aspect, the "playability" side of the figures. You have to be "aware" of the ones that won't sit down properly, and sometimes even buy "fixed" versions of figures you already have.
Still, the poll should have more positive options. I don't play with these figures as much as I did with my old ones, so it's not that much of a big deal for me. Besides, the new sculps are awesome, no doubt. For all we got so far, I *like* the 25th line, and it actually made me go after the vintage stuff again.

To be honest, I didn't want every figure to be able to fit in every vehicle as a kid and I eccho that now. Gung Ho didn't belong in a Snowcat, he wore a vest with no shirt so why would he be in a cold environment? Snowjob wan't going to hijack a chameleon swap ski because there is no reason Snowjob would be in the hot ass swamps in cold weather gear. I Was a kid with a great imagination, but I knew that only Torpedo, Wetsuit and Deepsix were going to be going to the depths of the ocean at Cobra Island and that Duke and the gang who didn't sport diving equipment were going to have to settle for land assault.
Certain figures belonged with certain vehicles and I Was ok with that... Pilots flew, divers dove and Snow troopers froze. It was just the way of it.
I want the standard of my figures to be quality and diversity, not easily broken and one size fit all.

I'm sorry I missed this thread.
Alley Viper attached to the Strike Team Urban Division 82nd.
Cobra wants you! I'm looking for some ruthless Vipers to fill the ranks. Joes need not apply.

so far i've been lucky with the cobra rage, dtc hisstanks (which look way better then the og hiss) rhino and rocc i just figured the further back you go the more compatibility issues you'll face. these aren't meant to replace the old joes they're meant to pay homage or modernize them. figure out a way to make it work

If the guy hasn't seen an original figure in 25 years maybe he thought the new ones were the same size. Doesn't sound like he knows a whole lot about the 25th line so he might not have known. Not everyone’s life revolves around GI Joe like most of the people here.
Myself included of course.

You know, it's not that the SCALE is different, its just that over time, the plastic on the original vehicles has contracted, making them smaller.
And the reason the old figs still fit? They've shrunk as well.
Simple physics, really. :-D
