Getting interviewed by CNN about my collection. Made my late wife happy and more receptive to my hobby.
For devoted collectors, 'G.I. Joe' is a way of life - CNN.com Hahaha I love that line. |

Open the Vault..make available some of the harder to find figures and FSS guys. Example..I shouldnt have to sell my first born for Big Boa, Footloose, Frostbite, Iceberg you get the idea.
I dont care if the rehashed them give us the basic figs at DG and Ollies again..we all need more Cobra Troops and that Shipwreck LOL

I would like all-new tooling for updates of classic characters for my collection. I need a new Scarlett, Baroness, Shipwreck, Duke, Dr. Minbender, Cover Girl, Roadblock or a Flint with a removable beret. The 25th Anniversary figures were good for 2007-2008 but they pale in comparison with any of the newer figures that come with a more realistic life like appearance like 2015 50th Anniversary's Gung-Ho, 2013 Retaliation's Firefly, POC Commando Snake Eyes or last year's Heavy Duty. They look like they're from two completely separate toy lines when placed together.

Seems like just yesterday I stumbled into the toy section at Target and saw soooooooooooooooooo many classic arah 25th figures on shelves. That is the single reason that has made me a adult collector today.

That said, there are more than a few figures that deserves some updates to take advantage of the better sculpting Hasbro's been doing since then.

I'd love to have a series of single carded figures on reproduction ARAH style cards. Like the 25th were but no chrome, more like the original 80's cards. Re-release on single card, SDCC Flint, lady jaye, gung-ho, leatherneck, destro, all the 50th really and update some classics. But, do they make anniversary, anniversary releases? It's the 10 year anniversary of the 25th anniversary of arah gijoe, isn't that just the 35th anniversary? Just saying. Last edited by Indiana Joe; 01-04-2017 at 09:01 PM.. |

I'm still not sure if I like the modern line, but it did get me back into the ARAH figures.
To answer the question on what I'd like to see next: let's start with actual, respectable retail distribution and placement. I realize we'll never have the days of yore, but the modern figures are buried under all the NECA stuff and sometimes well off to the side. This TRU line didn't seem all that diverse to me, either. |
