I have recently started collecting G I Joe again here in Australia which is proving to be an expensive task seeing most items I have gotten are coming from overseas and the postage prices for most of the items are just ridiculous...
So I have been thinking... Do I stop collecting... and just wait til The Rise of Cobra series is released here in Australia and just collect them ? They would still be sealed, looked after, no faults, loose joints, come with all accessories also, or should I keep going with what i'm doing already ? Do I sell of the G I Joe I already have ? I have over 100, which to most of you is nothing, but I also have some Night Force characters, Tiger Force, 25th Anniversary, a few doubles of a few characters also, I have a few sealed G I Joe aswell, but I would keep them all though, plus I have a Tomahawk which I just love so i'll keep that, but I also have a Tiger Paw, L.A.W., Badger, Torpedo all in excellent condition, also have a Radar Rat, Tri Blaster but are in pieces. So should I keep going, or do I just keep a couple and focus on collecting The Rise of Cobra series when it is released here next month ? |

It is up to you on how you feel I collect both moc and loose
as like you I want the figures complete. I look at it this way the vintage stuff is incomparable to the new stuff it has that feeling at least for me that I could not live with out |

and the rise of cobra stuff is nothing compared to the modern or 25th stuff as most of it are repaints
and i really do not like those accelerator suits. but if you do sell your stuff I would be interested in the night force stuff |

Oh the Accelerator Suits look shocking don't they, what were they thinking when they were designed and then put as a final product ?
I know what you mean though, like I have a 1987 Tunnel Rat which is the bomb, plus I have sealed 1986 Hawk and 1987 Tunnel Rat which are just great, but I wouldn't get rid of them, but also I have seen some of the ROC series that will be released and the attention to details looks great, although some of them look shocking aswell, so... Hmmm... I can't keep doing what i'm doing though, cash wise it's killing me, I mean with the ROC series I can just go down to the local store and grab what I want when I want you know, instead of paying stupid postage prices for items, so... Hmmm... |
