There needs to be inserts for sure, showing the rest of the toy lineup in "action". I've given my guys one 52nd 2-pack, but it's missing one of those inserts for him to look over and ponder which of the others he'd most like to get next.

Please just release the rest of the stuff revealed in the 2012-2013 concept vault.
It's simple, there's a good amount of pieces that have already been tooled that can fill in unique slots for more 2 and 3-pack TRU exclusives for at least two years. Stop providing the collector base with things we already have enough of and try re-releasing some Comic-Con and FSS figures in different color schemes as well. As for vehicles, I'm okay with not having any new ones for a while. However, there hasn't been a decent playset released for Joes since The Pit, which I passed on because it was Rise Of Cobra merchandise which I still loathe til this day.

Yeah, rather than trickle out the last few remaining concept figures, they need to go back to the beginning. There hasn't been a good point to jump into collecting Joes since 2007, or maybe 2009 when the first film came out. We need a new OG 13, and maybe 7 Cobras for a good 20 figure line. Joes in green (except for Snake Eyes), and Cobras in blue. But with all new looks.

Personally I'm not gonna creep any higher than 1/18 scale, mainly because of my vehicle collection in that scale. I'm adding Marauders figures and occasional joes I like, even went ancient warriors with some Amazon gals from Boss Fight Studios. I don't have a spot for 5 inch figures or other odd ball scales. I have enough diversity as it is, so much so I am becoming a scale bigot 🙀

What we need to wrap our heads around is this: continuing to have figures made as they are now will eventually lead to elimination of the line. This line in its current format does not make enough money for Hasbro and thus, will lead to them scrapping it all together to make room for better selling toy lines. SW, TF and My Little Pony dwarf Gi Joe in annual sales. Our (the collectors) selfish wants and needs is what's causing the line to fail; we just don't see it
Since they are willing to give us something, throw us a bone for better terms, my gripe is why continue to offer the same figures that we already have enough of while there exist a high demand for something else that can make them money as well? Hasbro hasn't made G.I. Joe a priority; what we want as collectors doesn't solely determine what they make. From a business prospective they should care more for making Star Wars, Marvel and Transformers a success along with the movies that are making over $1 billion each. Hopefully, with more creative control of the content that will be used to promote the Joe brand in either cartoon or motion picture film form, the films will get much better, earn more money at the box office; consequentially, providing more merchandise for its target audience (kids) and collectors alike.

I think Hasbro would be smart to try to blend Joe and Transformers at retail. I don't like the idea but it may get some kids interested. I do think action figures that work like Skylanders would be another sweet idea to blend different media. A game where you can use SE on stealth missions and then swap him for Mainframe to hack a computer would be super fun for some ppl.

Not at all. We're the ones supporting the line no matter what with our wallets. They appreciate our support and patience, that's why we are stilling getting new merchandise between films; which is the only time retailers will care about carrying the line at all.

I am not sure how much this has been discussed how about gi joe in the Star Wars Black Series Style...Taller and more detailed in a new scale they could start remaking all the old figures....again...

To me, it seems more that Joe is floundering because Hasbro is only courting collectors, not that collectors are dragging the brand down. In fact, one could argue that the faithfulness of collectors is the only thing keeping the brand afloat. To get back into the game, Hasbro needs to resume making kid-friendly products--rugged, versatile, and accessibly-priced--instead of focusing solely on collector material. The success of brands like The Corps and True Heroes proves that kids are still interested in 1:18 scale figures; Hasbro doesn't have to abandon the scale altogether, regardless of whether they choose to keep them "realistic" or stylize them more heavily (like the aforementioned brands). In fact, by sticking with the current scale, they could probably sell a good number of their kid-oriented figures to adult collectors as well--not all collectors are adverse to stylization and/or simplified design if the overall quality is still good. Of course, I would advocate keeping the realistic, detailed adult-collector-style line going as well; not just for the sake of existing adult collectors, but to give kids something to "grow into".
I definitely agree that a kid-oriented Joe line shouldn't remain exclusively focused on military themes. Construction, exploration, science, and search-and-rescue are all good themes to cultivate. Are the Star Wars Black Series figures generally taller than the "basic" 5 POA figures? I don't collect Star Wars as a general rule (yet).
