I have to agree, I would like to see some later versions in DD look, and their own characters. I think it that there are several decent SS in the DD run, I think Gen Rey would be a great figure, as would Wraith. The list is pretty long for me. That being said, I don't want to see complete waves of DD figures, but one a wave is fine with me, as long as we keep getting quality RAH classics as well.
I don't know if any one will argue with me, but I'd rather see a DD character than a Star Brigade/BF2000 etc figure. |

DD Storm Shadow is a great design and am happy to get him. I would have loved to have seen a DD Shipwreck in the upcoming comic pack, which could have easily been made with the Beach Head torso and arms, Shipwreck legs, and a new head, so I hope we get it at some point.

They should follow how Star Wars does it. The basic line is mostly figures from the films, with some Expanded Universe(comics, video games, cartoon) figures thrown in and it's worked well for that line. Basic Joe line will have the 'Marvel Joes', with some DD's designs thrown in.

If they would make the DD version of joes eventually that would be ok, but to make them so early in the line when other figures from the original line need made first just makes no sense to me......

Make Thraher before you make a Duke stabbed in the heart by Serpentors snake throwing thingys. There have been some really good Devils Due designs in the last few years. I wouldn't mind seeing them thrown in the mix somehow eventually. |

We do not need a cartoon version of CC, or SE. Hasbro please keep the line original, making Wet suit before you make a cartoon version of a Joe, we need Blowtorch before we need the Snake Eyes in distress being rescued by an old man in the woods after being exposed to radioactivity figure. Make Thraher before you make a Duke stabbed in the heart by Serpentors snake throwing thingys. Make Barbeque before you make a Viper window washer guy, as I fear he will be a 2 pack figure eventually........ Do not go the route of the Star Wars figures you have made...........be true to yourself,we really did not need a Darth Vader with Empire uniform as much as we need a Snake eyes heart broken over Scarlett figure.................

Popular classic characters with high recognition will most likely be made before any of the obscure characters, take this for new and old. This is the same reason most waves are a mix of popular and obscure characters. It was different with the originals back in 1982 because Hasbro had no idea, or rather retailers had no idea who would sell well and who wouldn't, it was a new line. This is a whole different experience now, where retailers can request certain characters in waves.
Some of you guys are worried about Cobra La or the neon joes infiltrating the line. While I think some *may* make it, I doubt most of them will, because they were not popular back then. The most iconic and memorable characters will probably get priority because they equate to easier sales, over an obscure character. Don't get me wrong, I want to see Deep Six, Low light, Payload, Ghost Rider, Lift Ticket, and many others before a Ninja Force Snake Eyes or Python Patrol Infiltration Crimson Shadow Guard makeup disposal infared Nightwatch daylight Duke, but recognizability is priority in the first years. If the line continues to stay successful(I'm not talking about now, I'm doing about consistently after months), then I think the obscure guys get a fair shot and showing up. |
