Just got my kids a FLAGG to play with, but they only have ME Joes. It got me wondering if I should remove the back pegs on the seats. I came across a similar situation at JoeCon when shopping for Trouble Bubbles. I only found older ones which have pegs on the seats. Does anyone typically remove them or leave them?

I remove them as I'm not thinking of reselling them. I also when possible modify the foot pegs for modern Joe's too.

How do you modify the foot pegs? Do you shave them down somehow?

I have removed all back pegs of my Joe vehicles as well, vintage figures still fit in them for display as I go back and forth displaying with vintage and modern figures. I don't really use the foot pegs, so I just have left them intact.

I did this with my whale, morays, defiant, etc. I have a question, if you don't mind me asking. What kind of condition was the Flagg you got for the kids? Was it complete, or near complete, missing parts, etc? Also, what did it wind up costing you? The reason I ask, is I am considering getting a Flagg, and "modernizing" it myself, and I was wondering what others have paid, and for condition too. Thanks in advance. |

I removed all the pegs, and such, from all my vintage playsets and vehicles too. I have made them modern era compatible.

Yeah. I just cut the sides flat so they are kinda octagon shape.

As I was looking, I saw plenty of Flaggs on Craigslist for 400-500. I got mine for 200.00. It was a never assembled attic find by a house flipper. they gave me a good deal as it was to be played with vs for profit. The wife liked the idea of kids getting it to play with. Unapplied stickers were toast as was the manual. The figure was missing andthe Mic cable has been chewed threw by a rodent, but otherwise 100%. Good luck. My kids are loving it!
http://www.hisstank.com/forum/g-i-jo...lagg-find.html Seriously though, 200 bucks is a SCORE. You were real lucky to find a near complete one for that price, congrats. I am glad you and the kids will enjoy it. |
