Given that Stiletto is based on a character from my novel, G.I. Joe: Body Count, and Shooter is heavily featured in my works as well, I am very excited about both of their releases. I hope I'm not being too self-indulgent by sharing my thoughts on a few things here.
A lot of people have been talking about Stiletto's colors. Mark Weber said that her flesh tone will be a little darker to match her heritage. I asked him about the scar on her face, which is evident in the mold but was a little hard to see when the figure was in hand. He said that he expected it to be more evident with the darker flesh tone, but he wasn't sure that it would be painted. I am hopeful, but that is an easy fix if it isn't, even for a poor customizer like me. He also said he wasn't sure that her damaged eye would be whited out. Again, I can fix this on mine if that isn't the case. I haven't yet seen any pictures of the back of her head, so I doubt people are talking about this or know how cool her braid looks with the white highlights. I put up a picture of this on my author webpage. They can be seen here: https://www.facebook.com/BillNedrowsGIJoeNovel/ Yes, this is a blatant attempt to lure people to that site. Please follow it so that you can find more news about my four G.I. Joe published works and the exciting things that are coming soon (I promise). I've heard some people complaining about the lack of a scarf for the new female Cobra Officer. When I was talking to Hasbro about the look of the character, I had suggested a blue scarf down around her neck to subtly hint at a Cobra soldier's scarf pulled down (note the weapon as well). I was really pleased to see this included after the article on Hasbropulse showed a different scarf. Those who really want a scarf for their female Cobra Officers can steal Stiletto's and put it on her. Now, before you complain about having to buy more of this figure, know that I'll be interested in buying (for a reasonable price) a few of this character without scarves for customs. I'm also super-excited about the release of Shooter, who unexpectedly evolved into a pretty important character in my novels. I had suspected she was coming when I was told that she couldn't be my representative for the Kindle Worlds Author Fan Choice Contest and then when Mark Weber contacted me and pointed out this his independent research had shown that I had erroneously named her in one of my novels (oops. I promptly fixed this). I couldn't have been more excited to see her on Saturday during Hasbro's panel. I encourage everyone to go check out the pictures I posted (including one of a beautiful cosplayer portraying Stiletto. She is holding Dr. Biggles-Jones because she was chosen to play that role for the script reading during Saturday's panel). She updated her costume after the figure was revealed, and I'll try to post a picture of that later. This is a link to all four of my published G.I. Joe works. One of them is about Stiletto if you'd like to know more about her character. If any of you are on the fence about her or Shooter, I really suggest you check these out. You'll be chomping at the bit to get them in November. https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_n...ds=Bill+Nedrow |

I already have plans to just paint the hair different colors on that Fem CO in order to troop build variety...I also wonder how hard it will be to paint a flat black/ red or even grey bandanna over the lover face or would the effect be ruined by the lower face sculpting showing through?

Yeah man having your character made is a GREAT honor, it is a great character, one of the coolest looking from a overall great wave. She has a distinctive look and I can already imagine her getting a lot of adventures going during play time. And as I do its super cool to know I have talked online to the creator!

Congratulations wedge1968 for having made in figure form the characters of your novel (Imagination) by Hasbro...
That's what most of the Joe fans would dream of...

The lack of a scarf over her face is OK - I don't mind that at all. What bothers me is this:
1) The upper part of her body is spandex, but the lower part of "her" body is straight (male) Cobra Trooper. Women's legs are proportioned differently than men's...and people can tell. Put in all spandex or all BDU - not this half-n-half crap. 2) She looks...well...nice. Pleasant even. Cobra officers are supposed to be anything but. |

Who better to be led into death than an officer with a pretty face...

I have to say my biggest complaint was said earlier, and that is male legs on the Female Officer.
Otherwise, I could paint or dip in black something or other to make gloves, but having an alternative masked head would be nice too. Still glad to have them make a female trooper, and the other new females this go around with Stiletto and Shooter. |

Thank looks pretty good (great actually. Well done). I'd be interested to see how the black electrical tape works, but I suspect sculpey is the way to go.
Thank you all for your congratulations. I am very excited, and I can't wait to see the final product and to pick them up in November. |
