4 for me. More figures I want this year than last year. Only things keeping it from a 5 are the lack of vehicles and repacks of stuff I already have enough of (though I do believe that their repack choices are solid ones for the folks that' DON'T have enough Zombie Vipers or never got Renegades SS).
But basically two very solid troop-builder packs, Some new characters, some repaints that don't look dumb...things are lookin' pretty good. |

3 and that may be a bit generous. Only a few cool figs, the rest are thoroughly average. The IG gets a - 1 though. That sculpt is just awful.

I want as many of those IGs as I can get my hands on, I missed out on them on all prior releases and NEED to build that army up. Also cant wait to get as many Vipers as I can find, which is convenient because those two are packed together, same as the BAT, fem CO and my single most wanted figure of the entire wave the SAW Viper. I am not exaggerating at all when I say I would gladly take 30 of each of those troop builder packs and the ONLY thing that has kept me from doing a similar sized army of the zombies thus far has been availability so of course I will hit that set just as hard. all in all this may end up being my all time favorite wave of any action figure line ever made just based on how many of each I plan on getting. I am going to "support this line" like a fool.

Even a small vehicle set would have pushed it over the top. I rated it a "4". Nice pairing of characters in the packs, sounds like the builders will not be short packed.

1) Zombie Patrol 2 pack: This pack is pure win for me. I did not get enough of these guys the first time around with the 30th Anniversary.
2) Sinister Allies; Cobra Viper & Iron Grenadier: A P.O.C/30th Cobra Viper in his regular colors is a good choice here for those who missed out on him the first time or did not get enough for their armies. The re-release of the 25th Anniversary Iron Grenadier just baffles me; this figure is too dated. Hasbro should have went with "Money Bags" Destro here instead of the 25th Iron Grenadier. This pack is a pass for me. 3) Mission Accepted; Duke vs Tombstone: This Duke is terrible in my opinion. Who is this Tombstone? Meh, I will pass. 4) Arashikage Duel; Storm Shadow vs Snake Eyes: Even for a re-release this pack is pure win. Some people missed out on 30th Renegades Storm Shadow and P.O.C Commando Snake Eyes. Two quality figures with great accessories that people who missed out the first time will finally be able to get their hands on them for a descent price. Good job Hasbro! I will pass on this set because I already have both these figures from their original release. 5) Heavy Conflict; Heavy Duty & Stilleto: I know the jury is still out on that new Stilleto head sculpt but I like the body choice for her used here. That Rise of Cobra Agent Helix is a superior female body even until this very day. Heavy Duty has a brand new head sculpt with Retaliation Rock-block's body. I will purchase. 6) Special Forces 3 pack; Outback, Shooter & Falcon: This pack is a mixed bag for me. Outback's head does not fit the body type being used here for him. Shooter is pure win and long overdue! Falcon is a pure repaint of the Slaughter's Marauder body with P.O.C "Aliens" inspired Duke's legs & feet which I'm not a fan of. I will purchase mainly for Shooter & Outback; which I will fix Outback once someone makes molds available of that soon to be released subscription service Tiger Force Outback figure. I will purchase. 7) Cobra Legions; Saw Viper, B.A.T and female Cobra Officer: Saw Viper is cool for those that like this character. I'm cool with not seeing any of these B.A.Ts for awhile myself; a good army builder for those looking to do so. I have mixed feelings for that female Cobra Officer; it is cool to be getting her but that plain upper torso does not go with those detailed P.O.C/30th Cobra trooper legs and feet. I might get this pack & I might not. The jury is still out for me on this set. Last edited by 1FormidableJoe; 06-26-2016 at 09:51 PM.. |
