Blaylock's writing wasn't up to industry par and was (IMNSHO) completely the wrong direction for Joe. Further, there's a difference between cleverly inserting easter eggs for your friends and say, modelling the hero of your comic on yourself. It's not illegal or underhanded, just incredibly gauche. If you would like to discuss the finer points, I'll happily start another thread. |

No, you were ranting about your feelings on a particular writer. Perhaps your O should be a little - or a lot - more H. I can think of several successful writers who've done just that, some of whom were fortunate enough to benefit from good marketing, and some of whom are truly brilliant. No, thanks. If I want to discuss the "finer points" of anything, I'll look elsewhere for the conversation. What say we retire to IM and solve it? I can't see ANY reason why we should be at odds. I've disagreed with you before, but I always assumed you were open-minded.

Reloaded did suck, though! |

Wow uhh.....what the heck?
I brought up the devils due stuff and Omegawrath went back and brought up those points and discussed them in (what I read as) a logical and well thoguht out explination on his feelings of the ddp joe stuff and not in the typical "it sucks cuz I say so" that we usually get from most fans and I for one was sad to see the response from Compulsive Collector. I will be starting a Devils Due discussion though so I'd like you guys to come join it over there. |

Isn't this thread about an action figure? |

And that made you sad? Okay... And regardless, what does my opinion hurt? Who made you the board police? If someone rants a bit off topic or double posts, your sun will still come out tomorrow. All I seem to see from you is playing both ends against the middle. You try to calm down the people that lose their minds over scalpers in one breath in a very reasonable way, but then you act as though other peoples opinions annoy you or aren't worth your time. I'm not trying to make an enemy of you. I hold no grudges, but if you want to have a discussion, have a discussion. Don't just barb people who annoy you. I also understand that you're an exceptional person to do business with. IF I have offended you, I apologize. I will not apologize for my opinions or my flights of fancy. I'm not hurting anyone, and I'm certainly not trying to offend anyone. Can you say the same?

Sorry your right, I got this one mixed up with the dreadknocks thread. Still this Zartan figure IS based on the DDP design so talking about the comics would stil lbe acceptable and not so off topic. |

I'm not trying to make an enemy of you. I hold no grudges, but if you want to have a discussion, have a discussion. Don't just barb people who annoy you. If I devote anything more than a few brief moments to discussing the merits of a particular writer, it's going to be with someone whose opinions I value. Based on what's been posted in this thread, your opinions do not fall into this category. You're an adult, though, and you should be able to accept that. Quote:

Clear? Good. Maybe the topic can shift back to the figure, or the comics, or Blaylock, or something other than Compulsive Collector. |

Board police? Are you serious? I was just providing some clarification for K.B., who seemed like he could use it. I never said you can't, couldn't, shouldn't, or anything like that. In fact, you're the one trying to tell me what to do and what not to do, an exercise in utter futility on your part, but I have given you no direction, no orders, and no commands. I was simply confused as to why you used this thread to launch your indictment of Blaylock. Look, I really don't need any instructions from you. I will have a discussion when and with whom I want. I said what I had to say, and I have no obligation to go back and forth with you again and again on the subject of a writer whose work doesn't even do all that much for me. I'm not particularly motivated to defend his stuff; it's just not as bad as you make it out to be, and I've made that clear. Hell, you spent so much time using your own personal guess at a cross-publication time line and information you picked up from interviews, that you never actually got around to talking about the work. That's why I don't want to discuss "the finer points" with you, because you're not being critical. You're just going on a self-indulgent fanboy rant. If you want to do that, knock yourself out, but my lack of interest in further participation doesn't equate to having an issue. It just means I'm not interested. For the love of Pete, I even tried ignoring you after your bizarre, "ordered and reasoned voice for Joe," comment, but you just won't let it go. If I devote anything more than a few brief moments to discussing the merits of a particular writer, it's going to be with someone whose opinions I value. Based on what's been posted in this thread, your opinions do not fall into this category. You're an adult, though, and you should be able to accept that. Well, that's no concern of yours, as I can guarantee you'll never be on the other end of one of my transactions. I'm not offended, but I think you're being more than a little bit creepy. You seem determined to create this personal thing between the two of us, but let me assure you, sir, that there is no us. You can try to make this thread about me all you like, dig into my trading history, use something I posted as your forum signature, imagine my remarks have anything to do with you, rather than your comments, or whatever else your apparent hard-on for me entails, but I am still wholly uninterested. Clear? Good. Maybe the topic can shift back to the figure, or the comics, or Blaylock, or something other than Compulsive Collector. I watch you antagonize and insult people. I figured I'd kill you with kindness, but you seem to have your mind made up. Ever since I mentioned Don Murphy you've been nasty to me. I hadn't really payed any particular attention to you other than that you always seemed to have a level head when people were yelling about business. When I noticed you were digging at me and making nasty or dismissive comments, I started to wonder if it was personal or if you were just cranky. After watching you talk to other people the same way I've come to the conclusion that you're an agitator who thinks quite highly of himself. I'm not sure what you think it is I'm trying to make you do, but you made it clear well before this thread that you had a problem with me, though you won't make clear as to why. Frankly I just came here to talk about Joe stuff. I made this about you because I won't have someone publically insulting me. They are minor digs but they are not going unnoticed. If you want to avoid discussion with me, don't comment on my posts.
