I've seen that there have been a few rounds of "Ask Hasbro"--even though the end results always end up being lame and Hasbro dances around questions and certainly doesn't choose to answer "tough" ones :P--but I only just thought to ask this question recently...
Has anyone ever asked Hasbro about the possibilities of a LEGO G.I.Joe game??? I, personally, am a huge fan of the LEGO series by Travelers Tales--LEGO Star Wars, Batman, and Indiana Jones all were great. I know it would be far out of reach to do it considering that Hasbro/G.I.Joe has NEVER had a presence in the LEGO kingdom like those other franchises have had... however, Batman and Indiana Jones only recently branched out into the world of actual LEGO blocks, like right around the time both those "franchises" (or whatever you want to call them) had movies coming out. It would be highly unlike Hasbro to endeavor upon such a thing... but the end result would be really awesome, I bet. |

I would be all for a GI Joe Lego game.
My son loves the Star Wars, Batman and Indiana Jones games so I am sure he also would love a GI Joe game I would also love GI Joe lego but if I remember correctly Lego won't go for it because they don't want to be associated with a military line I could be wrong but I am sure another 'tanker could clarify |

I would give my left kidney for a Lego G.I. Joe game. I love those games. I've played them all to 100%. I don't care if the basic idea is the same, I just have so much fun playing 'em.
G.I. Joe would be a natural for a Lego game. edit: I believe the military line is why Lego hasn't gone for Joe. They've never done anything straight military. There's adventure and sci-fi, but nothing straight military.

Ignoring all the Knights, Pirates, and pseudo military themes that they will work with anyway.
Say what you will, a Navy's a Navy and thus military. |

But it's a fantasy navy, that's why they get away with it. Throw some skeletons and such in there and it's no longer military.

Yeah, but see the original Castle and Pirates themes never included skeletons. It wasn't until the third wave that we even saw a ghost. Not to mention the Police themed toys.
Besides, the way it is, Joes are fantasy Military, no different than Clone Wars and the like. The real issue in my mind is that Hasbro doesn't want to hand over rights to one of it's biggest cash cows. Not when they can crank out built-to-rule dust collectors.
