Not to mention there's more to the fandom than just this board.

It's over 60% who are definitely interested or might be interested in them.
Where is your evidence from "not Hisstank" that they're not wanted? And what's different about the Hisstank audience from other Joe collectors what would get a different result?

I made no mention of numbers one way or another. I simply noted that Hisstank.com is not the entirety of Joe fandom, which is utterly indisputable fact.

Not true. A plurality was on board when Hisstank polled it:
http://www.hisstank.com/forum/g-i-jo...ries-poll.html Yes I Would Collect 6" Inch 135 41.67% No I would never Collect 6" Inch 126 38.89% Wait And See 63 19.44% How do you get that? "Wait and see" are the swing states, so-to-speak. They could go either way. I bet that IF a 6" scale was done, once some of the "wait-and-see" people, and even some of the "no" people saw them in hand, they would change their minds.

The main point is only 324 members voted. 98.7% of the registered members of this forum didn't even care enough about 6" Joes to even bother to vote. Of people that said yes, many of them wanted to cherry pick figures that might not even be made until after wave four (assuming a four figure wave).

For all we know, those are all the people who logged in while the poll was front-paged. Has any poll since then got that many votes?
People cherry-picking after wave 4 is a really specific prediction that can only have little to no basis in fact. Nevermind the people who DON'T collect Joe now who would be really impressed by a 6" SE or SS or other characters.

Once a 6" line hits, I'm sure a goodly chunk of those No voters will change, when that OCD factor kicks in. Oh, they may not want to collect them, but they'll need to, regardless.

People cherry-picking after wave 4 is a really specific prediction that can only have little to no basis in fact. Nevermind the people who DON'T collect Joe now who would be really impressed by a 6" SE or SS or other characters. The cherry picking "prediction" is just what people has said in the different 6" threads. You can see some of the quotes below. Assuming we don't more than one version of a character in the first 16 figures, It can go one of two ways: 1) O13 + CC, Cobra Officer and Cobra Trooper or 2) More 25th style Duke Scarlett Snake Eyes Roadblock Gung Ho Flint Lady Jaye Shipwreck CC Destro Baroness Storm Shadow Cobra Trooper Firefly Zartan Major Bludd Otherwise, we'll get two versions of SE and SS early, cutting into the available character slots. The last point goes both ways. You could pick up some buyers, but you can also lose a lot, like the FSS does between the roster announcement and the photoshop reveals. Quote:
I'm all in as well, unless we start seeing lazy parts re-use. That got old real quick in the 25th line. Even then, I'd definitely cherry pick (like I do with Modern Era figs).
If this is along the same lines as the Star Wars Black series or other collector-oriented 6" lines, I will purchase every one! Quote:
Yesssss!!!! I'm in!!! I have been wanting a 6" Joe line for awhile. I hope they do it right, and I hope they bring about some of the good characters --- Firefly, Stalker, ripcord, Roadblock, Viper, Beachhead. I'm stoked for it. The bummer is waiting for about 9 months.

Count me out if this rumor turns out to be true. Spent the last 5 years building a sizeable 4" collection. Not about to change scales at this point.
That said, I wouldn't be against picking up select 6" figures, mainly Serpentor and any of the Cobra-La characters. Quote:
I have 0 interest in a 6" line. Don't want to start another collection, and that's what it would be. Starting over.
I'd cherry pick a handful, maybe 5 to 6, characters and probably 3 to 4 of those would never get made. That being said, I'm all for Hasbro doing whatever it needs to do in order to get Joe back at retail and a new generation of fans interested in it. Even if that means it's something that I wouldn't be interested in. BUT I don't see a 6" line based on nostalgia (ARAH) designs as being the savior. No connection for kids, and a high price point, and not a scale all the Joe collectors would be into. Stop gap measure at best, line killer at worse. Quote:

I'll probably grab a select few (SE and SS, Duke and CC, Destro and Baroness), but I won't be collecting the entire line or remotely close to it. Certainly won't be troop building, either.
Here's hoping this doesn't mean the death of the 3.75" scale in "collector friendly" forms, but I wouldn't be surprised if it does. EDIT: What's the source on this, anyway? Quote:
I couldn't give less of a shit about Gentile Giant's G.I. Joe Jumbo crap, but a 6" Joe line like Hasbro's Star Wars Black series...? Might just be the shot in the arm the line needs. Then again, the last scale change (Sigma) wasn't well-received...
Shit. In the past I've always said no to such a thing, but now faced with the (possible) reality...dammit. I might not be able to resist. I mean, the SW Black series is so damn good (for the most part, anyway. There ARE some stinkers in the line). And here I was hoping I could give my wallet a break. Still, in the 6" scale I wouldn't just indiscriminately buy characters...just my favorite ones, like Cobra Commander. I just hope the quality control is better than the 50th stuff. Anyway, I guess it's time to wait now for this rumor to be confirmed/debunked. Quote:
I'll be willing to consider buying some under the following conditions: They aren't TRU exclusives, and they have a variety of characters, not just Duke, SE, CC, SS, etc. I'd love to see Falcon, Torpedo, Stalker, Scarlett, Gung Ho, Flint, Lady Jaye, and Lifeline in 6" form.

Cherry picking is how I collect. I am not a completist and I rarely buy all of a "set". However, certain characters I buy multiples of --- army builders, my favorite characters, etc. so my buying in essence equals buying one of each.
