Has the GI Joe drought we've had for the last couple of months affected your collecting urge?
In my case it has. I've lost interest and had time to think of all the money I have spent on Joes and the lack of room I have for storage. I think Im going to pass on the movie toys and just waith till the classic stuff comes back, if at all. |

I satisfy my urges in other ways.
2010 is the year Mr. G., We should see some more golden age goodness.

2010, oh yes must be patient. Till then I've satisfied my urge to hunt and buy with Marvel Universe, Star Wars, and now even a few Xmen Origines figures.

I have been filling holes in my collection trying to pick up the few troopers here and there i need to complete squads. I have also used this time to collect vinyage vehicles. I might get some of the movie stuff, but i won't run all over town to do it. I will pick up what i see and what i like...

Well, I went back and ordered the Resolute action figures I passed on many times at retail as I had no idea what they'd represent.
I've been picking up more IG/Viper sets when I've found them. I am eagerly anticipating stores clearancing the comic sets so I can get some more IGs in the Destro packs that are pegwarming everywhere. I'm planning on getting that COBRA 5-pack someday. And I just ordered a HOH Firefly and Firefly/Storm Shadow comic pack from theouterrimcollectibles.com to use as different characters. Star Wars is just as dead as GIJOE. Well, maybe a little less so. The ESB wave is out, just not very common. I've not seen it. And where I live we never got the Wal-Mart exclusive comic packs. I'm taking a trip soon and hope to find them then. I have zero interest in the TF ROTF toys. I might get the Star Trek bridge playset on clearance but use it for Grand Admiral Thrawn in a Star Wars scene. Which reminds me, I need to go vote for Joruus C'Baoth in that rebelscum.com poll. Excuse me... |

I am using this little break from Joe to go back to my first love... girly anime figurines. LOL. I wasted so much money on anime figs that it completely dwarfs the amount of money I spent on Joes. I mostly just collect Rei Ayanami and Yuki Nagato stuff though. *shrugs*
*gasp* I'm pretty sure The Clone Wars line is the best selling franchise right now. I very RARELY see CW figs peg warming... anywhere; only CW C3-PO really peg warms. |

All I'm waiting on is the 7-packs and final wave of vehicles and that's that really for me until/if the classic styled stuff comes back.
There are a few figures that appear to be aimed at being classic kinda coming I might get in the movie line (Thunder, Monkeywrench) Otherwise, I'm been having some customs made of characters we haven't gotten yet worked on...or had figures we have gotten improved on. Otherwise, I collect DCUC whenever they come out as well as Marvel Minimates and well... was collecting Transformers stuff, but not interested in movie stuff there either. In some ways, it's nice cause it means I can save money more now for things. Movie toylines clogging shelves means less buying and more cash for later needs.
