I'm thinking about collecting the vintage Joes again. The ME Joes are great, but there's just that special something about the vintage Joes. Which would you guys prefer IF you could only choose one route? Would you go the vintage route? Or the ME route?

Whoo! Good question!!! If I could only choose one.......
I think I'd go with vintage, which is ironic since I have waaaaay more ME stuff. But vintage is where it all began for me, like many of us. And it's BECAUSE of the vintage that I got into the ME stuff. Without the vintage, my ME collection wouldn't mean anything.

Always vintage. The modern mean nothing except based on my love for the vintage..I don't feel the same about star wars or another line except maybe A D&D (if they had a modern line).....

Modern all the way for me. I had the vintage, why niy collect something newer and better all around. Vintage is great but I would not be collecting joes if not for modern era styles.

It's too difficult for me to collect o-rings now. Since I started with the Modern Era figures from the start, 2007, it's easier to keep that going.
That being said, I'd love to get the vintage guys again... but they're getting so old they're literally exploding into dust.

I think I would stick with ME even though I was heavy into the vintage as a child. The vintage does have a certain place in my heart but the ME is just so much more of an action figure. There are some vintage colours and design that are just great, it is a shame some ME just don't reflect those characteristics.
I don't play as rough with the ME as I did with the vintage so I can't say they are better or worse in quality or durability. To add I am seriously thinking of starting a MOC collection of ME, which is not even remotely a thought for the vintage. To many horror stories of minty fresh MOC vintage figures with snapped o-rings or exploded parts. ^_^_^

The 25th line in 2007 got me into collecting (and introduced me to this site). I collected ME through POC and then fell into vintage collecting. I wish I had spent all that ME money on vintage instead.

Modern. The nostalgia I feel for vintage always goes away very quickly when I hold one of the ugly little buggers in my hand...

I'm still sticking by my original answer though.
