Both, but only '82-'86 plus a few sub teams for the vintage and modern representations of the classics of'82-'89 plus a few sub teams. I don't play with them so the vintage are under glass and modern are carded and loose displayed '82-'89 alphabetically within each year.

If the Modern era had completed the initial ARAH run, vehicles and all I would prefer Modern. A couple dozen figures need good 50th updates but aside from from that I prefer modern. Even the 25th anniversary vehicles had some good improvements over their legacy counterparts.
I only got back into vintage because so many vehicles were left undone and a few of the modern figures were pretty bad. Why I say modern is that one of the reasons that I collect is to relive that rush of finding THAT figure in the wild. Though it may not be an option currently it was that pull in 2007 that excited me. Sadly we can’t do that with vintage figures. More’s the pity.

For Joes, it's the vintage stuff that really hits me in the feels. But for Star Wars, it's the 90's POTF line that has the greatest nostalgia for me. I had the Star Wars stuff as a kid, but it was the prime years of Joe (about 83 to 87) that really feels like childhood. Star Wars memories mostly come from old Polaroids lol.
When Star Wars re-rolled out in the 90's, I was on board, like so many other 20 year old's at that time. I have fond memories of hunting for figures in those pre-Ebay days, when I had no wife or kids, just work and college, and had plenty of time to hunt at Walmart or Target late at night.

Being new to the forum, and I guess so what over whelmed by the quality of your collections, vehicles and customs here, I have found myself drawn towards the 25th anniversary figures, though my era would have been the early figures as a kid.
I just think the 25th look amazing! so much so, I have brought there already and have another three and a vehicle on the way! lol! Its a good job I have an understanding wife lol! |
