I am typically not an opener but as a kid I never owned the Tomahawk chopper. So when TRU cut the price on this I bought one to keep in box and another to open. When I tried to fit 3 or 4 figures in the vehicle it did not go well.
Is there a newer vehicle that fits current figures better than others? |

I do not know how far back you want to go, but the RHINO from a few years back is one of the best newest troop carriers. I bought one for my boys and they load it up with Joes all the time.

I think you should go with retaliation nnja combat cruiser - 30th poc vamp - poc vamp.
Other lines offer also a nice variety of troop carriers. true heroes stuff (the big boat for example), world peacekeepers power team elite (fex the marine patrol boat, the humvees all three versions) (big lots) and bbi elite force stuff (hind armored gunship for example) (target), 21st century toys stuff (more expensive but real 1-18 scale. lots of vehicles and helis available) (ebay). a quick search of the above titles in google images would help. |

Definitely recommend the ninja combat cruiser. I found most of mine either on clearance or at discount retailers for less than 15 dollars. It lends itself easily to customization with the many holes of various sizes and shapes, and the modular construction of the body. Its color practically forces you to paint it.

I suppose my question is more towards: which vehicle is designed to be used with figures best, when I think of vehicles as a kid if there was a seat, a figure could sit in it albeit might need the back peg to hold the figure stable but it made it more presentable. I have the ninja cruiser and it does not seem to be designed so figures sit in the seats. I remember the old APC, every figure placed in it could be securely positioned. New vehicles do not seem to have any way to securely position the figures in new vehicles.

I'm a big fan of slaughters maruauders Warthog. An Amphibious troop transport.
This thing has all the troop carrying capacity for possibly nine joes in the back though removeing the safety bars is something you kind of have to do for modern era guys, one in the communications post, one to drive it and one in the gunners station. So that's 12 joes. Before you even start standing them on the roof or getting creative with standing guys on the track covers hooking their hands into the port windows. Its more armored than the classic APC, And is my go to mobile mission camp. If you want a more modern cobra vehicle with good seats. The pursuit of cobra: Fury vehicle has comfortable seating for three with lots of footpegs and a few handles for others.

I don't think there is a perfect fit for any vehicle. The figures are either going to be too big (floating over the seats) or too small (loose because no belts back pegs holding them in). I would bet that I have more vehicles then 98% of the collectors and there just isn't a perfect one IMO.
But, the closest and my favorite is M3A2 Bradley Tank action figure - Another Pop Culture Collectible Review by Michael Crawford, Captain Toy I have the camo version and the desert. They are larger then Joe scaled vehicles. Awesome toys, I have the Tanks which are 3 times the size of the puny MOBAT. |

I have 2 of the woodland versions, and several humvees in the same color scheme. The Bradley's have gotten pricy! Not compared to the humvee tho! The woodland bbi versions I have are higher then a giraffe's ass! Figures for perfectly in the BBi Humvees btw. I'll post up pics tonight if nobody beats me to it. Blows any joe vehicle out of the water in every way.

If you angle their feet and legs properly, they will sit in the seat. Roadblock has to stand though.
