So as I'm sure many of you know, the feet on many of the newer figures (Ultimate CC, Ultimate SS, Night-Viper, and many more) have shitty, shallow peg holes. They barely fit into the pegs on their stands and it makes them (in my opinion) unstable, and difficult to display.
Anyways, I've been thinking about drilling out some of the holes in their feet to make them deeper, but I'm concerned about screwing it up. Particularly, the figures that have their pegholes directly under the heel (as opposed to the center of the foot) because the ball-joint on the ankle doesn't seem to give a whole lot room for extra depth. So before I start drilling holes, I wanted to ask, has anyone done anything similar, or have any other remedies for this 'foot situation?' thanks for your time. -Zandar Last edited by Zandar07; 08-07-2014 at 07:03 PM.. |

What I recommend is mark or tape the drillbit at the level of depth you want so you dont drill to deep. Also start with a bit one or two sizes down from the actual hole size 1st then match the bit size to the peg.

I think they're shallow to accomodate the rocker ankles, but not 100% sure. I may do the same thing but I have to check the depth and the construction.

Im not sure if I should just try to drill out the ones under the ankle and make them deeper, or just try to drill completely new ones in the center of the foot.
I'd prefer to just deepen the existing one, but with those rocker ankles, I don't know if that is feasible. |

Center of the foot like the 25th... otherwise you'll break into the rocker joint.

Remember too, that you can drill more, but can't necessarily but it back.

I don't use the stands.
Then again the majority of my stuff is in storage. When I had my displays, Snow Serpent had to use his stand because he was so top heavy. And even with the stand he'd fall over.

Trim the peg on the stand. That worked for me.
