So, with the vehicles we always had those that came with and those that came without drivers. For some of the more anal retentive kids certain driverless vehicle always had to be operated by a specific Joe or Cobra.
For instance, for me, the Ram was driven by Rock-n-Roll, always and for whatever reason, Chuckles ran the devilfish. Scrap-Iron also was always the man in the Asp. What are yours, if you have any?

It depended on who was in the box art. I also look at PMS and SMS on the filecards.

The RAM box showed Beaker, but I always had Rock N Roll on the bike too.
Ferret=Tomax and Xamot Claw/Hisstank turret=Cobra Commander Trouble Bubble=Televiper Devilfish=Beachhead Fang=Major Bludd Snow Mobile=Snow Job (of course) Night Landing=Firefly I think that's about all that I was dogmatic about. Great topic to bring up!

I can't say that I quite remember what I did as a kid, but lately I've been going by the box cover art.
For instance maybe as a kid I used Shiprwreck or Wet Suit in the Devilfish, but right now I have Beachhead sitting in it.

If it was a cool cobra figure my crimson guard controlled it. I only had one as a kid. He was my favorite until the alley viper came out, then the alley viper was the guy right under cc...until the genesis came out, lol. Then he operated a drawer in my dresser until I got my first 9mm. Then he got the one man firing squad

I just put whoever fit in the vehicle I think. Like, the Devilfish, I put Shipwreck cause I could put him in there with all his gear.
For some like the LCV, I think I used Beachhead for one and Leatherneck for another one and sometimes General Hawk.

Muskrat in the Swampmasher. I know that one's hated on, but I always kind of liked it.

And, yeah, once I discovered a direct shot to the sternum with a BB would pop the screw out of their backs, sending limbs a'flyin', many of my Joes met a similar end. |
