I recent purchased a sealed (new in box) 30th Skystriker. I was super excited to get to put stickers all over a Skystriker yet again in my life.
However, when I got everything out of the box, I noticed that the back of the plane seemed to be missing something. Now what I have seen in other pictures on the internet, there should be two "ring" type mounts that the engines slide into. I don't have that. The back body of the plane just stops, and there are hooks for the rings to fit onto, but I don't have them (it looks like they come from the factory already clicked in place). My engines slide into place, but they do not fit very correctly against the body (there is a gap, and the little rings should be there so that there is no gap). Anyone else ever heard of anything like this before? Any CLUE of where I could purchase / order these two little engine mount rings? Any help would be greatly appreciated, THANKS! |

A pic of your problem would be helpful. The engine just slides into the hole. Not sure what you mean by ring.

yeah can you take pictures ? like 46Zone said, not sure what you mean by the mount ring. The whole backend of the Skystriker is missing ? I'm not 100% sure it's been a while since I looked at my Skystriker but I'm pretty sure the back where the engines go in are just part of the main body, there isn't a separate part. Just a top and bottom I think as far I can remember anyhow. I should go dig mine out and look at it.

If its missing something, call hasbro consumer affairs. It's doubtful they still have parts for this, but its always possible. Worth the time to make a call to find out at least

I'm pretty sure I know what you're referring to and they're actually glued on or sonic welded at the factory. I would call Hasbro up and let them know. They might just send you an all new one and ask you to send your defective one back.

I think you just need to push them in more. push them hard or real good, Now push it
Ah, push it - push it good Ah, push it - push it real good Ah, push it - push it good Ah, push it - p-push it real good Hey! Ow! Push it good! I don't think hasbro will do anything for you. if they just wont go in I suggest you get a few rubber gaskets to fill that gap. |

That's a definite assembly error. Those rings are fused to the plane too. I tried taking them off and it was not happening. You pretty much have to go to Hasbro about it, because there will be no way to replace them otherwise.

You can call or email Hasbro and see if they can reimburse you, or send you a new one. If you don't have to send it back, I would dremel down the excess and put the engines in. Shouldn't make that big a difference.

Or just go back where you bought it and swap it out for another.
