All of the figures I've received (3 orders) just have the indent on the back where the bubble seals, like they stamped it. A few have small creases to the card just above the bubble but after reading some of these, I'm going to go double check all of the figures for cracked bubbles, I didn't look that closely.
I had a few issues with FSS 1.0 with unglued bubbles and was expecting it on this but so far so good. They are acceptable enough to not contact the club, hope all goes well for you guys.

After looking at the Cesspools more, I realized that both their bubbles are… melted? Along the edges, where there's normally straight edges (the bubble being a rectangle with rounded corners) they're all just wavy and irregular. Kind of like a cartoon "splat" shape, if that makes sense. It's like the heating process gets WAY too hot when putting them on the cards. (This has been a common problem on many of the FSS2.0 cards, but not as severe as on Cesspool.)
I drew a green line to show where the edge of the plastic is. That's not where the glue is showing through, it's the edge of the actual bubble, which is normally straight. I realized that my Tollbooths both had a corner that was melted, but nothing like this. Also, you can see the crease of the card. It's just a straight line dented in, it looks like a machine did it. Not a big issue, but another goof nonetheless on a "premium" item. You can also see where the 2 Cesspools are side-by-side, that the bubble on the left has a milky-looking glue 50% of the way around, running along the bottom and right edges. It's not a glare, the left one is milky and not clear, and the one on the right is clear in the bottom right half of the bubble. Now, the Falcons are more extensive. You can see where it peeled off the ink in the stamping process, and also where the bubble was melted on both sides of the other figure's card. The image with 2 shots of the card art shows where there's a hard edge where the clearcoat just drops off… And you can see the ink reflecting on the bare white card. Normally, the entire thing is glossy. |

Also, I got the optional insurance.
As mentioned in my previous post, my Tollbooths both had the bubble melting issue in the top right corners, but not enough to bother. One TB was damaged (the bubble was smashed) but as I open one of my two sets for the figures I'm keeping, this was okay for Tollbooth. For Airtight, both of mine were smashed, either in their signature "accordion" style or the card was bent left-to-right in a sharp crease. I sent both back, paid the return shipping, and got my returns. The returned items, while I am not sending them back, also had the "melty" plastic going on along the left and right perimeters of the bubble, which is normally a smooth curve, but if you run your finger down the left and right edges, it's bumpy all the way down in that corner of the bubble. The rest of the cards seemed fine, and this seemed like a production issue of being too hot, so I kept them. Still, not 100% satisfied with the premium price, and paying to return them. In addition, ALL of the FSS2.0 figures have had the bubbles attached too firmly with either too much heat (causing warping of the bubbles, and sometimes melting), too much glue (causing peeling or residue) or too much pressure (causing a deep impression). Also, the bubbles are off of alignment on many. I've had several where the plastic bubble hung off the edges of the card slightly. Please note, I'm not normally so anal-retentive about packages, but many of these I'm either keeping carded or selling (I bought 2 sets) but having paid the premium price, added insurance, and paid to return items multiple times now, I have taken extra care to inspect these each time and have noticed a significant decline from the quality control of FSS1.0 figures. (I have purchased 2 sets both subscriptions so far, with the insurance both times.) |

Wow! You guys are very understanding. I would have been FURIOUS about all of this. Especially paying the return shipping. This is a very POOR way to run a program. Where is their QC?

From what I'm gathering the figures are packaged overseas already in their shippers and sent to the Club, then labeled and sent to us. I'm not sure the Club even sees them. However I hope that they will take note and come FSS 3.0 this will be old news.

This has been an issue since the FSS 1 so in all honesty I don't see it changing. I think the club is limited on what it can do from over here vs over there. No excuses they could still QA them when they show up at Joe Club HQ in Dallas. Anyhow now why I came over here. Xerofall thanks for the contact info ;)
