Personally I voted "maybe." I definitely don't think they should be this early on in the line's run, but later on I could see myself getting them. However, like Kwinn and others, I see them as secondary to series/comic Joes and Cobras, and as such would much rather see them down the line after a good 60%-80% of the Joes and Cobras have been released. we still need some others, but if these komrades got released later i might bite.

I'm not adverse to them being released, but Red Star has left me underwhelmed. If Hasbro decides to put some effort into them, then yeah, I'll pick them up.

I am interested as long as they do the team justice.. some of the figures they did prior didn't have the appeal due to them just being kitbashed from several older figs. But seeing Red Star shows potential.
The original Red Star = Bones A.K.A Dr. McCoy from Star Trek Or am I the only one who got that when looking at his figure?

I'm in the minority in this poll as I really don't care that much to see them made. But I am going to buy Red Star since he was an original ARAH figure.
I do, however, never say never so I guess if they looked overwhelmingly cool I might be tempted to buy them. I would rather see the Joes that were made from the old line updated first before they start doing never-done-before characters. |

Since I originally started this on another thread, I voted "Hell Yeah". I always liked the Oktober Guards, when they finally got figures made a few years back I was in Joe Heaven. This months GIJCC newsletter had a "The History of OKTOBER GUARD" article by Thomas Wheeler, then I read that Red Star was getting the 25th treatement. I just have to get the rest of the team. Now, before the movie line, after the movie line, I want my Oktober Guards. I'm even hunting down the '98 three pack from Toys R Us. Love'em or hate'em Oktober Guards did their share of Cobra a$$ kickin.
YO, IVAN!!!
