Check everything before you buy. Watch out for repacks and factory errors.(buy the latter, avoid the other)

Okay I am updated on repacks and factor errors. I found some stuff but I will most likely post that in another thread once I get it all here.
So I need to take baby steps right? lol I figure stick with the Joes and Cobras I like, keep them limited, and then start in with the Resolute figures since they are out and available and see what happens. Does disaster await me. . most likely. . .even when I was a kid my collection was alwasy thrown together lol It will be fun though!! |

The good news is because you are late in, you can get the "best versions" of each figure right away!
I would also recommend the new 5 packs as they have updated better versions of each figures. I also would recommend going to bigbadtoystore.com. You can grab them by the case as some recommend but also get some great figures on clearance prices. Stalker, tiger force flint and duke, and arctic snake eyes are all really reasonably priced there. The pile of loot option is also a good idea as previously mentioned as it can get expensive to ship. Some general recommendations, some people on this board spend a ton of money on this hobby and others not so much. Ask yourself what's your budget, what do you want, what do you really need. I bought waves 1-11 single carded and the comic pack of the twins...for me that is enough and manageable. Others like to army build, buy multiples of each figure or are completists (they need to have everything) Also, don't rush in and think you have to get everything right away, you will find deals if your patient! i myself love the 25th and even seeing more resolute figures think that they are awesome as well, but I will probably not get any resolute figures, or the comic packs, because then it gets really expensive. Also note, that hasbro likes to repack as many Cobra commanders, snake eyes, destros, dukes and stormshadows as possible. So hasbro makes you buy these duplicates by packing in a figure like alpine or a dusty that you "really" want. hasbro has released over 200 25th anniversary figures and 20% of the total are comprised of these 5 figures, so be careful. If I were you I would buy the resolute figures and only the figures of the modern era line you really really want, as it seems they will be making more resolute figures and they are looking pretty wicked! |
