What a Rude A%*Hole&!!" just loud enough I can hear...I'm thinking, "Besides the fact it's Christmas, where people are all kinds of rude, I slowly took each figure and acted very polite...It's not like I was gonna stand there while he read the back of all the cards...to claim a Crimson Guard for my very own." If he was any kind of collector, he certainly would not have been looking at Shipwreck with Wave 5 on the front of the shelf! She then passes me once more and says to her man "I would like to punch that guy right in the face"...I'm thinking Damn, Anger Issues Much!! All for something he or she care little about I can almost guarantee...

I look for the best figure/package and buy it. I'm probably OCD with it my friend says.
On a similar note to that rude woman, I had a similar type incident in a supermarket during the holidays. These two young women were in the same aisle as me. They're standing at the end blocking the aisle. There's a display, one girl, and then the other girl with the carriage. I said excuse me and the girl in the middle moved out of the way without saying anything. As I'm walking by, the friend with the carriage said something like "people are rude tonight"...I was like are you serious? I wanted to turn around and go off on her. Hello bimbo, I said excuse me! I wasn't rude...some people are just miserable man. |

I collect loose so cards don't bother me,but i will check the paint just to make sure its not too bad,the only one i passed up was the first shipwreck i saw,it was him and a smashed card stalker just sitting there and for some reason i passed on the smashed card stalker & the shipwrecks face was badly painted.
It took me a month to ever see either again & the next one i bought was perfect, except for a mold mole above his eyebrow,So now i dont pass anything up. |

Check the card front, check the card back, re-check the card front, then check the bubble. Then swipe credit card.

if i am so honored to put my hands on the rest of wave five in this century, i would probably grab them and patiently walk to the check out aisle. upon entering the one check out line with a cashier, amongst a hundred unopened ones. i will wait twenty minutes behind fifty people and when i get to the register and realize the card, bubble, and figure are on FRIGGIN' FIRE, I WILL STILL BUY THEM, SCREW THE CARD FOR !%*#@^*&%$#e SAKE JUST GIVE EM' TO ME, I THOUGHT THEY WERE A *%!#@&$$!! MYTH. then i would stand in line again to get the neosporin and bandages.

If you thought punks folding the cards were bad, just went to Target this morning and someone scratched the faces of some of the figures (single) on the pegs. looks like small tears. I swear there are some stupid people here!

It depends on which figure it is. If I'm getting a Cobra Trooper that I'm just going to go home and open for example, I just throw him in the cart. But, if a wave just came out and I'm needing a really nice MOC figure to keep, I'll inspect the card and paint.

I check the card first and foremost....then the figure's paint apps. If those two things check out I grab it right there. Sadly, there hasn't been too many opportunities to do this, as these figures are never on the shelves anyway.
