I promised earlier to post a picture of the AFA Gold Destro that I was supposed to receive from HTS. Since HTS cancelled my order, I decided to post instead some of the other figures that I managed to collect.
Note that I'm not an expert with cameras. So my pictures have flashes on them. Last edited by CG76; 05-26-2008 at 02:05 PM.. |

I still don't understand the fascination some have with obtaining Pimp Daddy Destro, but hey, Techno-Viper is always a favorite! Great snags you have there!

I actually bought 2 each of the Pipers and Silver Destros. But maybe I shouldn't have opened 1 of either of them. The dilemma of opening or not opening a collector's item.

Well, since you were able to get 2, I would've definitely opened one!
I was only able to snag one Piper (thanks again, Sharke!) so again, I don't dare open him. |

I'm glad you posted that picture of Piper and Destro. I was never gonna buy him anyway but I'm now convinced that he isn't and never was intended to be part of the official 25th line. I don't care what the card says. He's too short and articulated all wrong.
And he's got saggy old man skin around his knees. Great stuff. |

Yeah, according to a contact of mine at Hasbro, he was made in the ARAH or DTC mold. Although he did say that Roddy was a great guy in person. In addition, he was one of my favorite wrestlers during the 80s and so he was worth it to me. On the same note, Roddy did say that he wanted to be in the movie.

See it's cool that it has more than just the "its an exclusive" appeal for you. Neat...
