considering ordering a HoH firefly (prolly from target). i have a question to anyone who has one and would be kind enough to field said question.
it looks in pics that he is in a charcoal/black outfit....no camo pattern at all for this release. so... camo or no camo? thanks |

Mine has a faint camo pattern. You can see it better on the head and lower legs (which the paint apps don't match the rest of the fig) than other places. He is more dark grey than black. Again this may just be the one I have.

Funny thing is that he has a camo pattern on his lower legs in one of the pictures that someone on another forum took. It may have been the lighting though.

paint apps were solid. Firefly had some surprising silver apps that set the figure off nicely.
the best, by far, are Flint and SS. Flint has good paint apps on his web gear and backpack, making it the best version to date. SS is just great. the rest are fine if you just want a display set. all have good paint apps. but we will be getting a better BD BAT in the Cobra Island packs; the CG is not needed, just a fancy Fred; black SE is the same SE you can still find on the pegs; Zartan is the same as the one with the little tykes swamp skier but with a green wash on the chest piece; Beachhead is cool but the same as the cp with a muddy wash on the boots; Viper is the same as the newer 5pack; and SE w/Timber is almost the same as the newer 5pack, but with boots instead of ninja feet. i will put it this way -- i am not a serious MOC collector, but i will not open these. I will buy only another Flint and SS to open.

That's correct. Under a bright light, if you squint, you can see the faint camo on his lower legs. It's like 90% black camo on 85% black pants.

My Firefly has camo on the head, arms and legs. I think they didn't even bother with camo on his shirt because of the harness/webgear on him. The black and dark grey are close to being the same but under certain lighting you can see the camo. Intresting that the first 25th Firefly was to light, then we got the lame light blue (twice). The Wave 4 Comic Pack Firefly has the best colors which is what Hasbro should have used on the Hall of Heroes Firefly.

Yeah, this was something I was wondering. The card art appears to depict some camo and in one pic it seemed like there were traces of camo, but I wonder why they didn't give clearear camo design. This would have been much cooler. A solid grey just doesn't quite cut it.
