25th Anniversary Viper Set

I read on the checklist that there was a Viper pack planned for Spring 2009. Specifically, I found:

Cobra Viper Squad, estimated Spring 2009 release
__Viper Squad Leader (V1 repaint)
__Viper x3 (V1 repaint)
__Viper (G.I.Joe Mercer)


Is this still planned? I remember reading that the only new things coming out are the Hall of Heroes figures and the two 7-packs (Assault on Cobra Island and Defense of Cobra Island). Oh, and I remember reading about the two new vehicles.

I have heard it is still coming as well as it has been canceled. Your guess is as good as mine.

Hopefully the TRU sale this weekend will clear the shelves for MERCER!

Made my own. Bought the vipers and had the spare Hawk head. A splash of gold Testors later I have me a squad of vipers complete with leader and Mercer.

Last i knew, smalljoes still had them for pre-order...

imo,most likely towards 4th QTR of '09 or around March /April '10.

Still waiting...
