I'm not a MOC guy or a value collector. I love the toys I buy. The 25th figures are an update to the figures I loved more than any other collection as a child. I've been waiting on this collection for years. I thought I was getting it in VvV, but it didn't quite give me what I was looking for. This collection, to me, is absolutely perfect. To me, the long term value is irrelevant: they are already priceless! Just thought I'd share.

I agree with you on every point but the movie sucking and kids not getting it. I think the whole plan is for the Movie, video game, board games, ect... to change the focus so kids are buying Joes again instead of jut adult collectors.
Definetly not an investment. Some of the rare variants maybe...but otherwise I am a proponent of "FREE THE JOES". Gotta play with them. I think that has been the plan all along. We are, after all, a dying group. In order for the franchise to survive kids must embrace it. We are not the target market, I just hope most understand that. The Target market is kids who will grow up one day and become us. Hasbro and the movie makers are banking on that. In order for the GI Joe line to make it another 25 years it has to be embraced by the kids of today.

If Hasbro throw me a bone I will bite. That is after all, what make me a collector.

Even the new movie line has some stuff for collectors in it. Shipwreck, Scrap-Iron, Thunder... they're even doing a Raven (given, it's not as cool as the original!). I'll buy some of it.

To open or not to open
that is the question? Whether it is nobler to free the plastic or to let it remain chained, is another quandary that time and life must answer. To open or not to open that is the question...
