Ok, just out of curiosity. How does Hasbro attach the shoulder joint to the actual upper arms?
You guys know what I'm talkin about? you got the upper arm, than it goes on that piece thats a ring and a tab. The tab goes into the torso, but how does Hasbro attach the upper arm to the ring?

I'm pretty sure the tab is made and then the arm is molded around the tab. I've taken a Mouse arm apart to cast for customs and it's not as easy as you would think. From shoulder to hands it's 6 pieces and its hard (for me) to cast such small parts and have them come out perfect.

Ok, here is how it's done:
First you take the galvanized link and rotate it 5 degrees to the right. Next, you lift slightly forcing the vortex coupler out of the hemispherical joint valve thereby releasing the r29er valve. Simple! |

Seriously though... it is supposedly a 'secret', trademarked process. I'm sure it's common knowledge in the toy manufacturing world... but I've never been able to get anyone at Hasbro to explain it to me.

If you break one apart, it seems its a loop around a post. The post itself is a post with two round ends, like an empty wire roll, that piece is then glued into the arm piece itself. A lot of glue and cleaning is how it's done.

I cut one up and both ends of said peg were cleanly molded with no seam. The peg was a part of the shoulder on the crimson horseman who gave his arm for this experiment anyway
