Contact Hasbro, I bought my son the newer AT AT for Christmas and found the battery cover was missing. I contacted Hasbro and the rep told me he would ship one out right away. Got it in the mail in about a week. Couldn't take mine back to the store to trade it out because it was out of stock due to the Christmas rush.

The odds of them having another in stock aren't very high - it was the first vehicle set I've managed to find so far.

Still hoping I can find someone with two passenger side doors to make an even trade. PM me if you're the one.

Can anybody help me out here? I just picked the DATD set last night at TRU, and opened it this morning to find that there are only 2 driver side doors for my VAMP - no passenger side. Does anybody happen to have the same problem flip-flopped? I hope that someone here does and can help fix my problem with a quick trade. Please, because I've tried dealing with Hasbro before when my Agent Mouse had two right lower arms, and that was a lot of time spent that got me nowhere and I just had to repurchase the set and relegate the flawed figure to my spare parts. Yeah, I could take it back and see if TRU would exchange it, but I'd rather not have them resell it to some other unsuspecting customer. Hope I can get some results from posting here and other Joe sites. Pass the word along if you can. Thanx.

I finally got my hands on a Battle Below Zero set last night, I open it up this afternoon to find that the Ghost Hawk has two right vertical stabilizers.. had to drive back across town to exchange it. And yes, one of the stickers was applied upside down.

First off, I would like to say that if this topic is in the wrong place, please feel free to move it.
Not sure if this has happened to anyone who has or been collection any of the Retaliation figures, but on Sunday night I was messing with Retaliation CG and a custom project I was prepping for, while removing his backpack the peg from his backpack broke off in his back! I’ve heard and saw the QC issues with the 50th line, but I really haven’t come across anything wrong with the Retaliation lineup (yet). I don’t know if was shocked or just pissed off that Hasbro is using cheaper and cheaper materials for an iconic toy the we grew up with and loved so much as a kid through the 80’s , 90’s, and present day. After stripping the CG of all his gear and I can clearly see the peg sticking out of his back and just enough to get my fingers on it, but not enough to pull it out. So, after placing him in hot water and the into the freezer and gently pushing what’s left the broken peg in his back, back and forth, finally it came out! Next question I have how to repair it? Super glue? Gorilla glue? What adhesive would great to repair the peg and backpack and hopefully it doesn’t break off again? I know some fellow tanker are having issue with the DATD Eels backpack pegs breaking off, how are these being repaired or fixed? I hope to post pics later on today. Thanks everyone |

My two cents, and I am sure there are more experienced guys here to give advice. But, hey, what the heck.
I doubt you can glue the peg back onto the backpack and have it stay. I think there are a couple of options that are really variations of a theme. So on a couple of my customs, I have taken backpacks from other lines, BBI for example, and drilled a hole and inserted a plastic rod of the size to fit in the ME joe back hole into the the backpack and glued it in with superglue. This has worked well. The problem I foresee, having not looked at the backpack on the Ret CG, is it solid enough to put a plastic rod in or is it hollow? The other option, is to insert a metal wire into the peg to strengthen it. I have done this once with a Fang that the rotor had broken off of. Basically you take a short piece of wire, get it hot so that it melts itself into the broken peg, and into the backpack, thereby creating a metal "rebar" in the peg. This is a little tricky. And, if there is no material on the backpack to insert the metal into, then you are in the same situation as the first one. As far as wire/metal to use, maybe a small paper clip cut to the right size with wire cutters. Quote:
