I think I bought a repack

This dude, whoever he is did a good job in replacing the new cobra 5 pack Viper with the regular one. He left the other figs in their place in tact. He left the filecards/stands in the package as well. The tape on the side didn't looked like it was taken off before.

This shit has caused me to be very anal about checking stuff before I buy it.

I got the Joe 5-pack the other day and let me tell you I studied it for five minutes before I bought it. It was the only one they had, so I didn't have another to compare it with, either.

My area has a repacker and/or a thief and I know it's a collector now 'cause he's done shit like steal MASS Device elements from CC and Tripwire and repacked VvV stuff into the current Joe/COBRA 5-packs.

Always check out the item before you buy them. I know we can get a tad excited but this stuff happens all the time. So far I am 100% repack free and it will stay that way. Do some research here on the Tank and if you have a buddy who is a Joe fan, call him up and ask. Better safe than sorry.

I almost got a repack once because there was an ARAH fig inside tht I didn't have and the vehicle was still there. I think it was a 91 or 92 fig. It's the only one I have ever seen. I do see those hot wheels black packages opened all the time though.

And I think we will see even more in the future. Hasbro explicitly stated this is retail's problem, not theirs. And Wal-Mart at least does not give a damn. Really, if you're a loose collector, you could get all your toys for free if you wanted to. Apparently Wal-Mart's even taking obviously glued-back-together single cards now.

I wonder if one day I'll walk into a store and see NOTHING but repacked garbage on the pegs and shelves.
