I saw that post that was showing the new movie stuff that Ebay'er was selling and I'm wondering how thats possible when the new items aren't even supposed to be available until July 11th? Where did they even get them to be able to sell them?
Do you think this Ebay'er is violating a street date much like games or movies have street dates? We're not talking about a week or a month either...about 4 months in advance? I'm puzzled as to how they got their hands on them and can legally sell them on Ebay before Hasbro even gets them out to market. What are you thoughts or your knowledge regarding this type of thing? What really puzzles me though....who in the HE** is paying those prices for them! LOL, that is truly remarkable! The only thing I know is that I will be picking up a Shipwreck from the movie line because FINALLY they are putting one out that's updated and like the Devil's Due version. The only cool fig in the line I think....sad. |

I don't want to say that the guys in China are Thieves or that people buying said things are receiving stolen property but...
At any rate, the violation of a set release date in not the biggest concern. As for the folks buying the overpriced vehicles, well some folks like to own prototypes as they are unique, some just have to have something first so they can post well, nevermind... Edit: No, that's not a cheap shot and you, Chigger58, I've got my own IG Officer coming some day, I know what you're feeling. Mine's a jab at others who know who they are. Those suckers are made in China. You know there's someone in the factory sneaking a few extras out the door.

This type of thing happens all the time, its nothing new. The seller is located in Hong Kong/ China and probably either works at or knows someone at the factory they are produced..

Do you really think Hasbro [or their Chinese Contractor] does anything remotely charitable?

But yeah, all of these are of questionable legal standing, but is nothing new. Prototypes and first run figures have been appearing on the internet since 1998, at least. Being in China, they are RIGHT there at the factories, and that is pretty much where all of these carded samples of the movie figures are coming from.
