2014 con set possibilities

With the 2013 Con now in the past, and the FSS2 line up being announced I have been seeing a lot of ideas being thrown around concerning the possible choices for next year's con set. I tried to compile a few of the more popular ones, along with some other ideas. Curious to see what people want/think may be coming next year. I am basically only speculating on the Joe side of the sets... I think the cobra side is tougher to figure out because they are running out of troop builders at this point.

Tiger Force...with the inclusion of two international TF figures in the FSS2, there has been a lot of speculation of a TF set next year. IT is certainly possible, and there are a ton of TF characters from the original, new sculpt and international figures. Not to mention, a lot of the vehicles have been reproduced in the modern era. The downside is that almost all of the TF characters have had some kind of figure produced during the ME and the club seems to be trying to use the con sets to produce characters that have not yet appeared in the ME in any form.

Sky Patrol... 5 of the six characters have not been done in the ME, and 3 of the four vehicles have been done as well. Throw in the parachutes used with the retaliation figures, and this could be a really sweet set. They could also pull in the two international characters as well.

Eco Warriors...Cesspool is in the FSS2 so he would not be in the set, but that does not mean it is not possible. Again, a lot of the Joe figures would be repeats of already released characters, but the cobra side could reuse the new hiss, and offers several troop builders as well as the possible use of some of the zombie prototypes.

A sunbow themed set...there are still a number of figures that could be offered in their cartoon looks. Again, not new characters, but would fill some holes for a lot of collectors. Any vehicle could also be used and colored to be cartoon accurate

An arctic themed set...lots of Joes here. Frostbite, Windchill, Cold Front, Sub Zero, Blizzard, Snow Storm, Arctic Stalker, unreleased Arctic Scarlett. For Cobra, Unreleased Arctic Cobra Commander, Snow Serpent version 2 in yellow/purple and in the mail away version, Ice Vipers, new hiss tank in white. I know it would be a lot of white, but I think this could be a great set.

Original 82 set....the thirteen original Joes in 30th /POC style, Spparks, and General Flagg would make up the box set. a darker blue chrome faced Ultimate Cobra Commander, Ultimate Baroness, and several Cobra Troopers and officers would fill out the vehicles and other figure packs. With next year being the 50th anniversary of the brand, I think something iconic would be nice. The box art could use the cover of issue 1 of the classic comic.

These are just a few ideas I thought I would throw out there. Interested to hear what others think.

I would like to see them do something like you mentioned, the Original 82 figures. Sort of a ME verison of that old Stars & Stripes set. Would be perfect for the 50th next year. If nothing else they could just use the cobra island Zap body to save money and remake some of the old Joes with new heads. And dang if it wouldn't be cool to have the first comic cover as the box art. That would be good enough to frame.

I have no interest in the con sets, but I would probably be all over an Eco Warriors set.

LRRP Vietnam squad vs. ???

Arashikage family including Onihashi vs. Zartan/Faceless Master/red ninjas.

82 ME updated? Maybe...but not sure I'd care, personally. Still, good for the 50th.

Tiger Force seems inevitable, but no care here.

Politically correct Eco-Warriors can suck it.

Hmmm...still thinking.

3 EcoWarriors vs a ton of Cobra Zombies

Edit: 3 of the Zombie Vipers will come with repainted CLAWS (think zombie missiles) and will be led by that awesome zombie Cobra Commander Hasbro showed us once (but he'll be Fred 7 zombie, not the real Commander). The EcoWarriors will have a repainted Steel Crusher (the toothed-grill will be great for tearing through zombie swarms).

I dunno, that'd be kinda neat but I'd really like to see ME versions of the Eco Warriors Toxo Vipers and Sludge Vipers.
