Just reminding that Hasbro stated at JoeCon that the Wave 3 and Wave 4 were pushed back so they could increase production on those waves. So there would be more of them in the store. That is why we are not seeing anymore product at the moment.

As for driving, I pass several big box stores commuting to work. But i can see how that could be an issue for anyone in a more rural area. |

I assume we all got at least one of each of wave one .
look at how much wave one we still have on the pegs. At the stores around here I can get every figure from that wave easy. Don't they produce the same amount of figures in each wave ? Won't there be just about as many wave 2 and 3 and 4 figures available ? DonloO't we just need to wait a little longer ? I know we all need it right now! but, just look back on your collection. how many figures did you think you would never get ? how many of them did you see again after you "found the only one"? aside from your ren.SS and a few others that were htf, I have had no problem finding any figures. these will be all over the place in another month or two. patience Last edited by Indiana Joe; 05-06-2013 at 02:37 PM.. |

Every store around here is stocked full of Wave 1 figs. I saw Wave 2 briefly but none of the figs interested me. Wave 2.5 never happened around here.
For me, ordering by the case isn't appealing since I only wanted the Alley Viper and Lady Jaye figs. I may do this for Wave 3 though. That would make sense, and since the retailers in my area can't even seem to get rid of their Wave 1 figs I imagine I'll never seen Wave 2.5 at retail. Quote:
For wave 3, i agree preordering online is a good idea. Though it is not my general preference. I still like viewing product in hand when possible, sometimes quality issues such as paint apps have changed my mind for or against an item.
As for driving, I pass several big box stores commuting to work. But i can see how that could be an issue for anyone in a more rural area. I live in a really urban area, there are 2 Targets, a TRU, and a Wal-Mart all within a 5 mile radius. Plus there are 2 more Targets and another TRU near my office, so for me driving really isn't an issue and I'm not using that much gas to go hunting for new figures. |

I'm in a similar boat with having lots of the box stores between my home and work. And I too like to see what I'm getting before purchasing and save the extra few bucks buing retail.
Though, like everyplace else, we had a small infusion of the wave with LJ, and Colton. I picked up my shadow ninja and LJ in the wild, but since they've just restocked 1 and 2. My Walmart close to my house has finally sold all but 1 wave 1 SS so I've got hopes that the timing will be right for the next wave to come out and stock some more good stuff. My daughter really want's the LJ.

It's my understanding that this wave "2.5" was cancelled. What you saw or found got ordered before the cancellation. So they shouldn't start popping up. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe they were talking about re-releasing some of the figs after wave 3. Possibly wave 4 or later. Ether way I drought you'll see them at retail again.

Unfortunately, this will be ignored. Hasbro said last year that when Feb 2013 came around both w1 & w2 were going to be released. Yes, w1 from last year again. Keep in mind that every single Movie toy line is always over saturated with w1. W2.5 is hard to find due to the smaller quantities produced compared to w1. Let's not forget that Paramount (NOT HASBRO) pushed back the Movie 9 months. No Movie, no product. Which is why retailers pulled Retaliation off the shelves and had the stuff sitting in the back and distribution centers. Yeah, we got w2 and w2.5 and those were bought up like crazy due to a 7-8 month drought, then stores restocked with left over w1 that no Collector wants. I agree that to play it safe ordering a case online is a safe bet. But all this moaning, whining and worrying that w3 & w4 are not gonna hit the stores is ridiculous. Hasbro said at JoeCon that those waves got pushed because they wanted to up the production quantities due to w1 selling out. This doesn't mean empty pegs at the stores, this is what retailers bought from Hasbro. Does it suck that there's no new product out there, YES. Does that mean stores won't get anything new in the upcoming months, NO. Seriously, I don't understand the mentality of most Collectors. Obviously you all have been collecting G.I. Joe for years and this year is no different than any other year. Toys DO NOT SELL YEAR ROUND, get it through your heads. Retailers only carry toys in the mid/late summer and Holiday Season. Why do you think we have the yearly "reboot" and store rests around July. There's always a drought that last a few months. If you can't accept that then you need a new hobby.
