Anyone remember the packages of weapons and backpacks and stuff that used to be put out by Hasbro? I remember them on a bubble/card just like the figures but it was just full of random weapons and backpacks?
Anyone know if this is planned for the modern line? Would be great to get a few of these! Anyone have a photo of one? |

I completely agree, accessory packs for the modern set would rock. As for what they looked like , I recall they had a group shot like the cover to Gi Joe # 1 and three separate blisters holding small guns in one backpacks and stands in the other and large guns in the last blister. My favorite was the Cobra pack, 2nd Scrap Iron launcher.

Some weapon packs/environmental gear would be cool. A jungle, a desert, and black-tactical commando sets would be badass.
Also a lot of figures without backpacks, (New SE, Alpine, Dusty, Tunnel Rat etc), so they could make that up too.

I'd love to see weapon packs. That would be awesome.
But what about web gear and head packs? |

I'm def for weapons pax, as long as they stay black and grey in color. No crazy greens, or yellows.

i wouldn't be against a weapons pack... if they were different from the way the old ones were done. i'd like the packs to contain new weapons, not recolored versions of existing ones. i think that would make it considerably less likely for Hasbro to make, though.
as far as whether they are planning to actually do this: i seem to recall that question coming up in one of the Q & As and the response was something like "we have no plans at this time". |

Hasbro wasn't able to get weapon/accessory packs to sell for the Star Wars line. Ergo, they won't be showing up in the G.I. Joe line anytime soon.
I find a good rule of thumb for whether or not Hasbro will make something is simply asking yourself: "Would Hasbro make something like this for Star Wars (their largest and most profitable boys' toy line)?" If the answer is "no" then there's really not a snowball's chance in heck of it getting made for G.I. Joe. |

I assume you mean this (and the others that followed)...
YOJOE.COM | Battle Gear Accessory Pack #1 Click on the "A" link on the left side of the page to see the list of accessory packs. These were a way for kids in the 80s to get replacement weapons for figures they had lost them from. Acc pack #1 started with accessories from figures made in '82, then #2 came with a mix of '82 and '83. The packs continued to re-release accessories from the past years figures. The accessory packs were also where the figure stands were introduced. There was even 1 vehicle accessory pack for lost missiles.

I was wondering if they would do those again too.
I would really like about 200 of Resolute Duke's rifles and make them standard issue. A crap load of helmets would be nice as well |

Wishful thinking my friend, you know very well Hasbro wouldn't release them in O.G. colors. This has been asked many times in Q&As with Hasbro and it's a given they're not going to make them. That's when my hero "Maurauder Gun-Runners" comes to the rescue. |
