What was the luckiest most amazing deal you got on a G.I. JOE toy?!
For me it has to be about 12 years ago... I was in a collectables store that specialized in 1980s Star Wars, and GI JOE toys. Anyway they had a whole room of Joe stuff with and without their original boxes where I saw the Sears exclusive VAMP & HAL two pack! It had been opened, and the box had some damage, but everything was in there. Then I looked at the price, only 15.00$!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOW I thought this must be a mistake! You can imagine my surprise! I paid 15$ and thought they would stop me at the door. Surely they would say wait, that wasn't the right price. But they didn't! So what was your best deal?!?!?!

I'm not into vintage collecting, just 25th stuff.
My luckiest find is a Wraith. I bought him when I first found him, and never saw him again. |

The most perfect yellow free Terror Drome at a garage sale marked $20... I pushed my luck and asked "If they'd take $10?" And they did! That was like 10 years ago though.

Driving from Oregon to Seattle I hit 3 TRUs and snagged 15 bats, One Eel, two fangs, and a firebat.

good luck. My lucky find happened just before everyone knew about ebay. And the world decided sell any piece of plastic sitting in their basement thinking it's a vinyl caped Jawa.

I remember driving almost 40 miles while searching various Wal-Marts along the way.
I found a silver-foil Flash and Crimson Guard when everyone was convinced they would never find him. Flash was originally so rare that a poster here once made an avatar photo of Flash with the title, "Have you seen this man?" I remember how grateful I was to finally find 25th Flash. |

I have to say my luckiest Joe purchase ever has to be from a few months ago when a fellow Hisstank member hooked a few of us up with vintage figures for $2.50 each. These figures were as close to being mint as you can get for loose figures. I got a Hiss Driver with a perfect logo and without a scratch on him along with about 10 other figures of the same quality. I wish I could get them at that price all the time.
Where else but a garage sale are you gonna get that kind of a deal? This is why I love this site. I appauld members like that for helping out fellow fans in trying to complete their collections without having to pay crazy ebay like prices in order to do so.
