There is a thread in customs section about an Action Force Stinger with wrong decals? The tires and hub caps are distinctive to the SAS Panther but the body is a Cobra Stinger. Also, the date stamp on the bottom of the chassis is 1984 where as the Panther is 1982. Have you come across another like this, and is it as rare as I beieve? It does not match the Canadian MSV (Black Cobra Vamp)
I can't say for sure yet, but I will look into it. I do know that (in general) it was not uncommon to see Palitoy items released with the wrong stickers or some other error, as their QC practices were shoddy at best. However, that would not explain the date issue. Let me do some checking and see what I can come up with as a more solid theory.....

i've had quite a few lucky purchases, but the most recent ones were probably yellow stalker at target in kentucky or finding a vintage joe "general" complete and minty fresh at a vintage stock store for $20. i also ordered 4 cases of wave 10 and three of them had the clear wraith in them.

Mine was last fall. Found a Craigslist ad for old Joe figures (3 cardboard boxes of stuff) for $150. I thought I'd EBay some of it and let my son use the vehicles he wanted. Low and behold most of the figures were in near mint shape and all were complete early 80's.
Turns out he was just losing interest in toys when he got them as presents. The best part was where I found a MOC Baroness in the box. I EBayed that for all but $2 of the initial purchase, my son got all the vehicles he wanted to play with (including a skystriker and the first headquarters), and the loose figures and excess vehicles are slowly being auctioned away as I get to them (the money will be used to bring the family to Kansas City for the con and get my boys a 3 3/4" set to play with). I normally only work with the 60's and 70's figures like this, but it taught me to keep my eyes open! |

Flagg in bottom half of box - $40 - garage sale (last summer) Buying bags and boxes of figures, vehicles, and weapons for cheap is one of the best things about being a toy collector. There is nothing like rumaging through a box of weapons, parts and pieces and identifying each and finding treasures! |

Well I finaly got a few pictures up for you to see on the first page of the thread.
As shown in the pictures, I even have all the paper work that came with the toy. Interestingly the original price tag is one from BayBee Toys and not Sears?!

There is nothing better than rummaging through a box of toys at a garage sale or Flea market! You never know what little parts might be in there that can complete that figure or vehicle you have at home.
