I'm thinking about picking a Golobulus up really cheap from a local shop (I know, I know, I just like the weird ones), but I can't figure out if he's able to stand up at all. An old thread from 2005 on the YoJoe forums has a poster stating he can stand with a little effort but I can't find any pictures of it. Have any of you had any luck pulling this off?

That's what me and Globulous have in common.

maybe if you can balance that figure on the tip of his tail, but I remember the bendy snake tail not being very flexible or poseable, so the figure couldn't do anything but lie there. but my childhood memories could be a bit hazy.

Here's what I did. Globulous was in that ball-like thing thru most of the movie, right? I bought a lime green Nerf ball (the 7 or 8 inch diameter one) and cut a hole for Globby to stick into. Then I inserted 4 toothpicks into the bottom of the ball so it wouldn't tip over. I'll take a pic and post it soon.

I used to be able to stand mine up. I based it on the way Medusa rests on her snake body in "Clash of the Titans."
He would tip over a lot, though. |

Short answer: no
The tail just isn't flexible enough. |
