i just got back from my time machine. It turns out, when the movie comes out, hasbro decided to pull all the movie figs from the shelves and scrap that idea.. instead, it seems they continued the 25th line with every classic figure ever remade, even the USS Flagg and TerrorDrome. I called hasbro and they said, "well, we saw the complaints and posts on hisstank.com and decided to scrap that whole movie idea thing after pouring tons of money into it; this just makes more sense."

I want to THANK Hasbro for saving me hundreds of dollars and allowing me to put some money into my daughters college fund this year. So, Thank You Hasbro!
I do not intend to support the "movie" line of figures. Since Hasbro made the bad call of halting the current Joe line so they can become slaves of Hollywood, I say the lost me opening my wallet this year. When, and it is a question of when, they bring back the Joes I know and love, I will open my arms and carry them to the register. Seeya in 2010, Hasbro! |

That's what bigwigs do. They don't understand "The Collector", or maybe they do. They know were still gonna buy it, even if they released it in 2011. But on the real, that's booty.

I love when people who have no idea how a company like Hasbro works in terms of product development, packaging, marketing, retail buyers, etc. are determined that it is Hasbro's doing when anything goes wrong or things aren't released. General Hawk is exactly right. The buyers backed out. Hasbro didn't pull these on their own. There is no ridiculous conspiracy to rob you of your precious toys. It's just what goes on behind the scenes every day of nearly every major company that has products in stores. The designers at Hasbro took silos of the concept product (either requested by the retailers or something they were trying to sell to the retailers) and sent them to the retailers to start the process of selling the toy to them. Once the retailers get the concept pictures, some of them or their employees obviously take it on themselves to release them to other outlets. This particular concept could have gone back and forth between the buyers and Hasbro for a while before the buyers backed out. There could be many reasons for them to back out. They could have decided they didn't want similar vehicles to ones already released. They could have decided to skip the particular wave. Hasbro could have been tossing around the idea of holding off on them and releasing them in the movie packaging, and the retailers might have agreed and thought it was the best way to do it.
Point is, it's totally normal. The vehicles will be released in one form or another. There was a good and perfectly normal reason to not release them when they did.
