I dont know about yall but I totally refuse to pay the new price for CPs, it used to be that it was tempting because per figure it was 2 dollars cheaper even if they werent as high of a quality but now its only 50 cents cheaper per fig... What do yall think would happen if Hisstank members stopped buying them at this price and only shopped at the cheaper places or not at all? Do you think we as a forum entity could control the price of the CP's?

Is that the new price all around, or just at Walmart? I passed buying some at Walmart last week once I saw the pricetag. I ordered them from HTS because even with shipping and tax (minus the 10% discount) they were cheaper then Walmart!

Try $21.99 at Shopko for a single comic pack!

I too passe don stuff at wal-mart AND targouge. Anything over 9.99 for cp's is too much. Single carded figures and vehicles are a joke at current prices too. I'm all for a boycott but not enoutgh people would get behind it. They all would say just buy online. I say a boycott all together but i doubt enough folks would ever do it. But im in.

well gas prices are starting to go up as well. The price on milk, eggs, baby food, energy, coke, pepsi, chips, poptarts............ everything. I don't think we can boycot the price of everything. It is a sign of the times not greed.

I agree, this is getting way out of hand, really across the board, not just Joes, its other "collectables" as well. However, I think Hasbro has had the biggest price increase in the shortest amount of time. I just purchased the Beachhead/Mainframe CP at Target for 11.99 and so far they have gotten in more shipment at the same price. How long it will last, I have no idea.
The vehicle prices are getting silly! The Skyhawk or whatever theyre calling it now is going for 22.00??? and the Water Mocasain is 21.00? I have no idea how the RAM/Trouble Bubble with 2 figures is going for 13.00 and something that isnt considerable larger is going for almost double its price. This can be a really "doable" hobby and community to be part of without breaking the bank. But! If buying things in moderation..(and trust me Im a very conservative buyer) IS going to break the bank..then yeah we're gonna have to step up here. Also this months Toyfare which is all Joe geared has a rant from a reader about price increase. Something about the plastics needing petroleum products..etc etc....you know the rest. |

I can't honestly say I'd boycott them. I use the figures for customs. Making customs is pretty important to me. Even if I have to spend 3$ more. If people started Boycotting them I'd think Hasbro would stop production for a while. Making the new CP's even harder to find.

I'd love to say I'd have the strength to boycott them but since I paid $30 for a Doc it'd be a no brainer for me to pay $13 for a unique character I wanted that wasn't single carded.

Guys, we have to just grin and bear it. Hasbro is already easing away from the 25th line toward the movie line. Stop buying the CPs and it will be reason for them to stop altogether. You just have to accept the fact that prices go up. If the figure is worth having pay for it, if not don't. But boycotting high prices is just pissing in the wind and you know what that gets you.....
