...the car Homer built for his brother's company on the Simpsons. It was just an auto frame with tons of unrelated and unaesthetic options and add-ons.
I'm very sad that this was what they designed for the PIT. I had high hopes that it would have been just as cool as the RHINO or ROCC. Now I think we can kiss any larger vehicles good bye after this flops. PS - I hope I'm wrong so we will see other large, classic vehicles in that price range. |

BUT...with some toys lines, they drop the ball. GI JOE was doing great so far, until now. They could have easily made a much better playset like the Batcave that was HUGE. Or just remade one or two of the older sets and upgrade them. But no, they chose to take a dump in a mold and call it Joe related. They said they were focusing on the movie line instead of the classic line. Well someone over there needs a pair of thicker glasses, cause they are out of focus. I will be shocked that the Pit sells. The AT-TE is a BIG vehicle and looks great as does the BMF, but both made it to clearance. The fact that these will be hitting soon while the movie doesn't premier until August will show the line will be over saturated and a dull sell. |

After seeing better pictures of The Pit, I think it's pretty cool, and think Hasbro put a lot of thought into it. I may not get one at $100, but it's still cool.
1) It folds up to conserve space for those who don't have a lot of room. 2) It can be a vehicle or a base. 3) Look at some of the little things like the beds, lockers, crates, and the ping-pong table. I know most of us old fogies would rather just have a static multi-level playset with no bells and whistles, but The Pit looks WAY better than those first images.

I don't understand why they couldn't have repackaged the Mobile Command Center with add ons and electronic features and called it the Mobile Pitt?

I've no gripes about it... Just isn't for me.
It reminds me a little of Goliath from the (very short lived) Megaforce line. STA: Mega Force: Triax Goliath |

I like the PIT. Folded up, it looks like the MCC, just not as tall (which was something I never liked about the MCC, it was just too tall). The lower PIT looks more functional.
Unfolded, it looks okay. Not the biggest fan, but it looks like it's got playability and different sections (was that a cave section in the left "wing"?). So I'm pretty excited to get it. Folded up or unfolded, it'll work pretty good as a display.
