I disagree. I'm seeing more collector interest (especially in non-hardcore fans) in Star Wars Black than I've seen in a long time. With 6" being a de facto "collector scale" and Star Wars never having seen product in that scale, you have a LOT of interest.
And even among long time Star Wars fans, I think the 3.75 line has pretty well burned itself out for most collectors: Hasbro has reached a point where there just isn't a lot of room for improvements on existing core characters, themselves so heavily released fans aren't getting all that excited for a Darth Vader with a couple of new accessories; many characters fans want are increasingly falling into the "too niche for retail" realm (like Jocasta Nu); and stuff that would probably sell to kids collectors ignore because it tends to be the same stuff they've had for a decade (realistically, I think the line could be doing a LOT better if Hasbro had released more Darth Vader, Fett, Luke Skywalker and Han Solo figures over the past couple years). But unlike Star Wars (which has been so successful and so prevalent, they've pretty well tripled or more dipped into anything worth doing several times over), GI Joe hasn't seen the retail support to "clear the wants" to that degree. Further, my observation is that GI Joe fans are FAR more tied to their preferred scale than most other toy collecting groups tend to be. In all reality, a 6" GI Joe series would probably bring in more casual collector interest from groups that haven't been big into the brand. But I can also see it cannibalizing what collector sales the line DOES have, not to mention a general reluctance to see GI Joe in a new scale. For Joe, which I actively collect and have a ton of figures, I'm not all that interested in starting a new collection. |

To be fair, IF they made a motor pool, it would be larger.

YES PLEASE!
As a Joe fan, I never like 3.75" figures since they're too small! All these years every time I see a cool G.I. Joe figure, the first thing that came to my mind is "Damn, I wish that was made in 6" scale!" And I never cared that much for vehicles either, since what I care about are CHARACTERS! The heroes, the villains, and the badasses. And to have Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow to team up with my DCUC Batman and ML Deadpool to take on MOTUC Skeletor and Cobra Commander would be perfect awesomeness.

They tried with Sigma 6 and most fans did not like that scale.

4 inch with vehicles is perfect. dont waste resources going 6 inch. sideshow is available if you like larger figures.

No thank you. Joe is the lifeblood of the 3 and 3/4 collector's market (now that Star Wars appears to be focusing on 6 inches going forward)

That's why I REALLY WANT to collect G.I. Joe figures, because I LOVE everything about them, but the 3 3/4" scale put me off. That's why a 6" G.I. Joe toyline would be like a dream come true for me.
