I don't get to buy a whole lot of stuff as often as I would like and when I do, there is usually nothing to buy. Most of the stores in my area, OKC, are usually pretty bare with only the junk nobody wants left on the shelves.
Last night I went to a Walmart in El Reno, a smaller town, and bought the Sting Raider, the Sky Hawk, Zartan w/swamp skier (its so tiny), and Scarlett. Was a pretty decent night, for me at least. Tonight, my wife and I went to a Super Target and they had a ton of stuff I have really been wanting. I usually can't spend that much all at once but its tax season and its always been good to us. I got: Pyramid of Darkness DVD Set Beachhead/Data Frame CP Hard Master/Snake Eyes CP Iron Grenadier/Destro CP Tunnel Rat/Storm Shadow CP Gung-Ho Airborne Destro I also bought all 4 of the Ninja Turtles while I was there as well. It was like Christmas for me. Can't wait to get it all open, neither can my boys. Just wanted to share my excitement. |

nice haul. Isn't it nice to find stuff that you've been wanting? Expensive though, especially when you just started collecting!

Definitely =). I just started back up about 3 months ago. Decided I'd grab all the newer stuff that I can and slowly work on the older stuff when I have more room after we move.

yeah, i just started about a month ago, hadn't gotten a GI Joe since I was about 11. Although, I will admit I went a little overboard at the beginning of the month when I went to every retailer between here and my fiancee's place (4 hours away) and bought way too much.... lol
so now I'm slowing down for the rest of the month, although if I see something that I really want (i.e. DVD set 5 or something) I'll probably get it, lol |
