I am very fond of the Battle Armour look. This CC represents the commander at his most noble (leading troops into battle). I'm not as fond of him being JUST a despotic terrorist who hides and sits in a throne. I view him as the type to want to be front and center of the action (at least in my verse he is)
I also really like the CC from Sigma Six. I hated the animated series and toy line. I love the hood and helmet look. I wish we'd get a 25th version of that design.

Every version except V 4. He looks like a genie.

Definitely Resolute commander. The Tripwire 2-pack version is good too, they're pretty similar figs, but the design on the Resolute one just seems more stylish. Have we heard any plans to release more Resolute figs yet, or just the 5-pack rehash and then movie figs?

The original is the best. Helmet with silver face plate... Great ominous look. And I prefer the hidden despot... Kind of like Bin Laden. Not much of a terrorist if you're taken out in battle. Who will then lead your minions in your world dominating plan?
I like my Cobra Commander cowardly and manipulative.

I also really like the CC from Sigma Six. I hated the animated series and toy line. I love the hood and helmet look. I wish we'd get a 25th version of that design. Cobra Commander has always had the gumption to lead his troops into battle. Thing is, after he was shot in the back (by the impersonator who used the battle armor that you're so fond of) he started being more selective about his battles. In the battle of Cobra Island II (yes, there was more than one Cobra Island) there is a defining scene where he gets into the turret of a HISS tank (<3) and says something to the effect of "Do I have to do everything myself? What a silly question. Of COURSE I do!" (Some intrepid tanker might provide a scan of this as I am on an alien computer presently.) He removes his hood and dons his silver battle mask. To me, THIS represents him at his most "noble." He is boarding a tank in the gunner's position to defend his new territory firsthand against invaders. He has no more protection (save for his face) than the rest of his troops and he faces the danger fearlessly. Though his tank is destroyed and he returns to the command post with a shredded uniform and mud on his boots (pic needed) he still carries the day through the cunning of his plan B- the deployment of strategically placed lawyers. Cobra Commander is the ultimate villain. He has plans upon plans in place and trusts no one. Every one of his troops is spying on the others. His silver battle mask is a symbol of his omnipresence. You look him in the face and you see yourself staring back at you.
